Q: I've done theatre for a while now but I've never gotten a large role. I love theatre but I'm not really getting anywhere. What should I do?
Christine: I definitely think you should stick with theatre. The director is looking for who fits the role best. So maybe even though you're a good singer and actress somebody else may fit what they were looking for in the role. Keep auditioning because there is a part out there for you. If you don't get a good role at one theatre maybe audition for your school. Keep your options open because your time will come. Make sure you take every opportunity that comes your way. Even if you don't get a large role it's what you love to do and if you love it stick with it. Sometimes I worry that I won't ever get anywhere, but acting and singing is really what I want my career to be. So if you really love theatre I recommend sticking with it even if you don't get every role you want.
