Q: What if you are a really good thespian but don't know much about the background of theatre?
A: I'd say, if you have a passion and a love for theatre, pursue it no matter what! For another leg up, continue to do your research on theatre! Start with the basics, popular musicals such as Wicked, Hamilton, and Shakespeare, then work your way into learning about less popular shows. Also try to learn about the technical side of theatre, such as stage managing, lighting/sound, and costume designing. Listen to everything your director/dance captain/anyone of authority really says. Every time someone speaks, it is an opportunity to learn. Search the background of history,just read up on Google. If you love and have a talent for theatre go for it no matter what :) Hope this helped
