I'd just gotten out of DADA and Fred still wasn't talking to me we'd been sitting beside each other the whole class and not one word! So as soon as I saw him walking down the hall with George and Lee I was finally going to confront him.
"Fred!" I shouted causing him to stop dead in his tracks and turn around "why are you ignoring me?" Lee and George were looking at Fred to see if he was going to say anything.
"Why do you think I've been ignoring you?" He says angrily.
"I don't know just talk to me so we can sort this out" I say pleadingly
"Who are you going to the Yule ball with?" He says looking right in my eyes
"What? Why does that matter?" I ask confused
"Who?!" He asks angrily
"No ones asked me yet" I say, exasperated
"Oh really? Thought you would've been going with pretty boy after your snog session in the library" he scowls, lee and George both look dumbfounded.
"That kiss didn't mean anything! And he kissed me I couldn't have stopped him!" I say this stammering over my words.
"Yeah but you didn't pull away either" he says,clearly annoyed
"Me and Cedric are just friends and even if we were more than that, why would you care?! We're not anything either" I regretted my words as soon as I said them " wait-fre"
"Well it sounds like we're not friends anymore so go find pretty boy let him deal with you" he says angrily
"Fred stop, don't say something you'll regret" Lee said putting his hand across Fred's chest. Fred clearly ignored Lee
"Why do you like him? Because He has more money than us? he can keep up with your gold digging bitchy attitude" Fred said angrily as my anger grew
"Fred!" George scolded as Fred turned around and stormed away "ignore him I don't know what's gotten into him but I can guarantee he didn't mean anything he just said" George said looking at me, forcing a smile.
"You can do anything you want, if you want to go to the Yule ball with Cedric then go with Cedric, Fred definitely doesn't deserve to go with you now" Lee said rubbing my arm.
"Cedric deserves you more right now anyway" said George
"What's going on?" Someone said placing their hand on my lower back.
"Nothing" I say rubbing my eyes
"You've been crying" Cedric said looking at me
"Um we'll leave you guys" George said while walking away dragging Lee with him
"Why have you been crying" Cedric said cupping my cheek
"I haven't but it was a Stupid argument with Fred" I replied, shaking my head
"I'm sorry love" he said rubbing my cheek "that was the nickname Fred used for me" I thought sadly "I wanted to ask you if you would like to come up to the astronomy tower with me?" Cedric said smiling
" oh um I- sure" I say
"Great, come on" he says offering me his hand which I took

We had been up on the astronomy tower for about an hour after eating about four punnets of strawberries and Cedric making fun of my terrible astronomy skills
"Hey um I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go to the Yule ball with me?" Cedric asked nervously
"Um I...Cedric I'm sorry, your an incredible guy and I'm sure you'll make someone really happy one day but I don't think we have the same idea for this relationship we could go as friends if you'd want that?" I say looking at the floor
"So you're telling me you want to go to the Yule ball as friends and not anything else?" He asks slightly annoyed
"Yes" I say nervously
"Yeah well you can find another date" he said getting up and leaving
"Cedric-wait I'm" I say trying to follow him
"No, you lead me along, you let me kiss you all for you to reject me" he says exasperated
"I didn't want to hurt your feelings I never wanted to lead you along" I say trying to defend myself
"I don't believe your a bad person, you just aren't ready to love someone and that's very obvious" he said turning around and leaving
I sat in the astronomy tower for about 10 minutes just sobbing.
"Hey, George told me what happened, are you okay?"someone said walking into the astronomy tower and sitting beside me,I looked up to see my best friend, Elodie, "come on, your going to freeze out her you can sleep with me tonight, if you want" she said basically dragging me out the astronomy tower.
"Well it feels like I don't really have a choice" I say forcing a giggle
"Your right you don't I want you to talk to me and I don't want any of your stupid lies" she said raising her eyebrows at me

I had been crying Elodie's bed for the past hour telling her what had happened
"Boys are stupid, they'll come around Fred will especially because he loves you" she said smirking
"no he doesn't" I say rolling my eyes
"I've seen the way he looks at you, the way he acts around you, the way he treats you when he's not in a mood" she chuckles
"You really think so?" I look at her hopfully
" I know so" she says smiling
"I just wish I never hurt him or upset him" I say sadly
" you didn't do a thing, he just made assumptions and got angry about the whole Cedric thing" she says giggling
"Shut up and anything that was going to happen between has gone down the drain"I say pursing my lips and looking at the ground
"Why what happened?" She asked looking at me concerned
"We had different ideas of where we wanted things to go like I wanted to stay friends but he wanted more than that" I say fiddling with my fingers
"Well that's your choice it might change over time but your in love with Fred you can't deny that" she said looking in my eyes
"I love him.... So much" I say looking at the ceiling
"HA! I knew it" she says hitting me playfully
"Shut up" I say giggling
