"Get up" someone said shaking me awake I gave out an annoyed grunt as I looked over to see Elodie "your going to be late for dance practice with the Gryffindors" she said pulling my covers away
"Ugh why do we have dance practice?" I say sitting up and rubbing my eyes
"I don't know all I know is that it was funny as fuck when Snape tried to teach the Slytherins but you were in the hospital wing and missed it so you have to do it with the Gryffindors" she said laughing when she mentioned Snape
"I would've killed to see that!" I say getting out of bed
"Yeah it was funny but now you get the chance to dance with Fred" she said wiggling her eyebrows at me
"Shut up" I say blushing at the mention of his name
"You're blushing!" She almost yells
"Be quiet!" I say grabbing my green tie out my drawer before walking into the bathroom to get changed "anyway you never told me who you have a crush on" I say from in the bathroom
"Oh yeah forgot I told you that but if I tell you who you'll go crazy" she giggled
"Oh come on, no I won't, just tell me" I say from in the bathroom while tying my tie
"Adrian" she mumbled
"ADRIAN PUNCEY?!?" I say swinging the bathroom door open
"See I told you you would go crazy" she said chuckling
"You can't be serious" I say looking at her seriously
"He's hot" she chuckled which made me give her a disgusted look "he is!"
"He's not" I say fixing my makeup and hair
"Just go to your stupid dance practice"she said shoving me out my own dorm

I walked out the common room and into the dungeons before heading up the stairs to be met with a tall ginger
"There you are, I thought you'd never show" he said chuckling
"Shut up, I slept in" I say hitting his chest
"I can tell" he said sarcastically
"You dick!" I giggled
We both shoved and pushed each other down the hall until we made it to the dance practice which we were late for.
"Mr Weasley, Miss Grant any particular reason your late?" McGonagall asked
"No professor,Sorry professor" Fred said walking to one side of the room I went to follow him until I realised that boys were on one side of the room and girls were at the other; I took a seat next to Hermione and looked over at where the twins and Lee were, George and Lee were pretending to make out obviously implying that that's what me and Fred were doing.
"As I was saying because the Yule ball is first and foremost a dance" she said which got different reactions from everyone around the room "silence!" She said quieting the whole room "the house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly 10 centuries, I will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling bumbling band of baboons" she said which caused a few people to snicker, when I looked over at Fred and George they were trying to repeat what she had said "now to dance is to let the body breathe, inside every girl a secret swan slumbers longing to burst and take flight, inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance, Mr Weasley" she said looking at Ron
"yes" Ron said slouching in his seat
"will you join me please" she said while walking over to him and making him stand causing Harry to laugh at his best friend " now put your right hand on my waist"
"Where?" Ron gulped
"My waist" she said sternly which he did and got a whistle from Fred and mr filch started playing the music "1 2 3 1 2 3" she said, Fred and George were pretending to dance "everyone come together, boys on your feet" she said because none of them had stood up, Neville was the first to stand making the rest of them follow. I looked around the room for someone to dance with when I heard...
"Freddie come dance with me" Angelina said grabbing his arm which Fred pulled away
"I'm sorry Angelina I um Aurora you want to dance" he said offering me his hand which I took which earnt me the nastiest death glares ever
"Ignore her glares and snarky comments she's just"
"So inlove with Freddie" I say interrupting him
He rolls his eyes "I guess so" he said rubbing his hand on my waist causing me to blush and freeze "you okay?" He chuckled
"Yeah yeah sorry" I say snapping out of it
"Your a good dancer, you move your feet easily" he said kicking my foot
"Yeah well I'd hope so I've been doing ballet since I was little" I say smiling
"How come you never told me this?" He asked pretending to be offended
"There's lots of things you don't know about my life in the muggle world" I snicker
"I don't understand how you're a pureblood and you know so much about the muggle world" he said
"Well my parents left me no money in a house that's just outside a major Scottish city so I got a job at McDonald's and I shop in the muggle city all the time"
"Whats a McDonald?" He asked confused
"It's like um food never mind I'll tell you later" I say trying to think of a way to explain it to him
"Alright everyone back to your common rooms" McGonagall said shooing everyone out
"I'll see you guys tomorrow" I say walking away
"No no no come back to the Gryffindors common room" Lee said while trying to drag me
"No Elodie said she'd tell me about her crush" I say trying to pull away
"Ill tell you tonight just go with them" Elodie said from behind me causing me to get a little startled
"Where are you going?" I asked looking at her suspiciously
"No where" she blushed heading towards the abandoned toilets
"Oh yeah uh huh" I say sarcastically before getting yanked by Lee " ow"
"Me and George have barely gotten to speak to you since you got out the hospital wing" Lee said "so you should hurry up and you won't get yanked"
"I'm coming" I almost yell in a joking way
"Good" Lee replied in the same tone
