Twins, sets of binary codes. that's the best way i could describe them. invaders, from an alternate universe of some kind. i knew the watch was a dangerous inheritance but i never expected a situation depiction of such otherworldly caliber.
i sat there, in Olivero's office. this time, i made sure to check off a list. when we were falling out of the sky... i remembered that the plane crash, was a temporal anomaly.
how would they know the mathematics for any of that to transpire twice? let alone in such a manner. i knew it couldn't be done.
now how can i get at least two timekeepers to be on the same flight? the likelihood is low in fact, that i was able to rewind into a reality where none of my family had gotten on that plane.
it is simply a mathematical fallacy.
unfortunately, that also means that there are some people... who i just never end up seeing at all.
"Welcome." The doctor says.
this time, i can feel a different aura from Olivero. He's a psychiatrist. but now he feels like an ally for some reason.
"i don't know how else to say this Caasi but, i know you're a time traveler."
"Fuck!"
"No-no," he raises his hands, "it's okay!" he opens up a folder. "Frankly, I'm actually relieved that we can finally have this conversation. I was your father's doctor."
I raise an eyebrow. how does he know about the watch?
"My father, was a watchmaker. So by the time your dad became one of our clients, our families had already become familiar. There was an arrangement for you to be standing here by a certain point." Olivero says.
that seems like a lie.
"Every psychiatrist in this building actually work in our family lineage. they're here to keep all family heirlooms protected. and the knowledge of this, is obviously hidden with hypnosis and arithmancy." he says.
"oh... that's why i never remember being here."
taken, not necessarily under the wing but definitely within in the moment. I may have gone backwards in time, but towards some sorta of dramatic shift. why hasn't he told me this until now? i've been using the watch for...
yet this information made me disregard any conspiracy i had about big pharma, in favor of what's next. my dad left many parting gifts. and he not once mentioned a bigger organization shrouding around esoteric pocket watches.
"There is a protocol in place, because the event of Alters is now upon us." he sighs "Forgive us, for not mentioning this earlier, please."
"I've been activated as a result of a loop that has been broken." the doctor stands. "Soon, this space will serve as your new Epoch function - which is a temporal Limbo - accessible to you and anyone who has interacted with a time watch." Olivero says.
he waves his hand which causes the bookshelves on the walls to revolve. they spin like doorways and unveil a set of spiral stairs and two other floors. one upper lever that contained cherrywood decor and several rooms in cubical format. and one lower level that had rooms where woodwork and computing were in full swing.
"Whoa..."
i didn't think a place like this existed. weirdly, the machines sounded like people were functioning them. however, no one was here besides the doctor and i.
"if you're wondering what's going on, you're not at liberty to involve the others yet, so they have an optagism clearance - that makes them invisible to you." Dr. Olivero said.

"It was... like something i never experienced before." I pause. "Like the opposite of something I've seen in a dream.""Jamais Vu, nothing ever seen." Olivero replies.
I nod "Sometimes I... feel like i get lost in the daydreams." I slip my hand in my pocket.
"That's how disorders work. Except in your case, it's something more."
I raise an eyebrow. "Huh?"
"I know what you're doing, Caasi." The doctor's tone shifts.
I start to tense up.
"What'd you mean?" I reply.
"I was Isaac's watchmaker."
No... fucking... way.
"My father..."
"It was no coincidence, that you were diagnosed after his disappearance. We have been working with your family for generations." Olivero says.
Wait...
"Disappearance?"
The doctor stands up from his Italian leather loveseat. He walks over to the window and peers through.
"Timelords. No one knows how the phenomenon started. By the time your predecessors gained access - i was already in my elder hood. I've been dedicated to restoring the situation, ever since your time was nye."
What does this mean...
"I know this sounds impossible but... your father is still alive."
I take this seriously.
"How do you know that?"
"I am so you are... no?"
