As we walked inside, I soon realised it was a jewellery store. A big one.

We walked and looked around until Matt asked me, "like anything?"

"I don't really need anything" I replied back as I looked at him,

"But I want to give you something. We all do" he smiled,

"Consider it a gift for when you turned seventeen" he smiled and we continued to look around,

I wasn't aware of my birth date until I had gone up to that police station,

The people working there assisted Matt and me while I just silently looked around,

"Alexis, what do you think of this?" He asks as he picks up a necklace.

It was beautiful. Embedded with diamonds.

"Turn around" he smiled as he saw the glow in my eyes,

I turned around and lifted my hair away so that he could help me wear it. Can I really wear it though? I don't think I should. Them giving me a roof over my head and letting me go to school should be enough for me.

I shouldn't be selfish yet I remained still.

Matt placed the necklace and tied it properly on my neck as he pulled me closer to him so I could look at the mirror, "Is it okay?" He asks,

"Show me more necklaces, maybe some earrings as well. And more diamonds" he told the workers,

"No no no wait, I like this one. I don't need anything else" I faced matt,

"Just one?" He asked, looking at me to which I nodded with a warm smile.

Where would I even wear this though? School? Missions? But it's so beautiful, I don't deserve it.

Matt takes the necklace off and places it down from where he picked up, askin the worker to pack it up,

"But, I really don't need it, matt" I looked at him,

He just smiled, and said "you might not need it but it's just a gift. And don't refuse to it. I just want to spoil my little sister"

I was Defeated, we walked outside the store while Matt held onto the bag which contained the necklace.

He opened the car door for me like always and I stepped inside.

He sat beside me, keeping the bag of necklace away,

"Are we finally going home?" I asked, my gaze was on the road,

"Yes, don't worry" Matt replied, smiling.

The car ride back was silent, because I was litreally so tired. I couldn't get a good sleep the night before and I was out for a mission at night.

I laid my head back into the car seat, just taking a bit of rest and we arrived at the house.

Alec smiled as he was waiting for us and opened the door for me, I stepped outside and turned to pick up the bags but they were already taken care of by their men.

"Had fun?" Alec asked with a smile on his face to which I nodded,

"I'll send the bags to your room" matt said as he remained seated in the car while the men started taking out the bags,

"I have got some work to do, I'll be back at night" he smiled as the car drove away.

Alec walked me inside the house, "Hungry?" He asked,

"Not really" I replied and we stopped in the living room,

"Wanna do something?" He asked,

I didn't wanna turn him down, he just wants to spend time with his little sister. But I'm in no mood.

"I would actually like to rest a bit, I'm sorry" I looked at him, and he gave me a reassuring smile,

"Of course, my apologies" he said as he walked me to my room,

"It's alright, we can spend time later on. We have alot of time" he added as he left me in my room and closed the door on his way out.

My room was filled with bags, even my bed. There was no place for me to sit.

I kept the bags down and laid down on the bed, I checked the time and it was almost 5pm.

I sighed deeply and noticed the school books already on my desk.

I closed my eyes, I wanted to sleep. But could I?

*The necklace btw*
