Strings (Shawn Mendes and Hayes Grier)

Chapter 3

Shawn's P.O.V

This school is pretty sweet, man. It's nice to see my buddy, Hayes, again and Kayleigh and Nikki are really nice girls. I'm glad that we have to spend the day with them. Kayleigh's just been caught and has been sent to detention, she's such a dork, a cute dork. Class is dragging and it's been really boring without Kay here. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't met her this morning.

Class is finally over and Hayes, Nikki and I are going to pick Kay up from detention.

"Sup losers!" Kayleigh said greeting us. We laugh and walk to the canteen. Nikki and Hayes were walking ahead... Me and Kayleigh were stuck in conversation about her experiences in detention, so much that she forgot to pay attention to where she was going and she tripped over the fucking bin, in the process whacking me in the face! Again what a dork! "Oh my God! I'm so so sorry!" She apologised. "Honestly, Kay it's fine!" I replied with a smile on my face. She smiled back. God, she was cute! Then out of nowhere she ran and jumped on Nikki's back. Nikki lost balance for a second before regaining it and Kayleigh jumped back off. I was laughing my head off and she turned around and came back to walk with me.

Nikki's P.O.V

The rest of the day flew by and soon it was last lesson, we had History. We all sat down at a table of four, then the teacher quietened down the class and spoke up. "Right class, today we are going to start group projects, you will do this with the people sat at your table and you will be expected to do this outside of class, it will be due in Friday." He carried on explaining what we had to do and then we got started. It was the end of school and Kay offered for Hayes, Shawn and I to come over after school for pizza and to get some of the project finished. We arrived at Kay's shortly after and ordered pizza.

Hayes' P.O.V

We were sitting around, eating pizza. Nikki and I were sitting up against the sofa, Kay was upside down on the sofa with her legs over the back of it and Shawn was next to her. "Shawwwnnnnnn..." Kayleigh said, dragging it out. "Yesssssssss??" He replied,mocking her. "Can I have some of your pizzaaa?" She asked, looking at the slice of pizza in his hand. "Get your own slice, lazy!" Shawn laughed. "Fine." She said with attitude before biting a chunk out of his pizza and laughing her head off! "Heeeeey!" He whined, trying not to laugh but failing and chuckling along. What is up with those two?

A little while later I realised that I haven't done a vine in ages and what a perfect time to make one with my buddy Shawn and my new friends! "Hey guys shall we do a vine?" I asked. "Sure, why not!" Shawn says. "What kind of a vine?" Asked Nik. "Hey, Kay! You can sing right!" Shawn gestured to Kayleigh. "Yeah I guess so..." She replied. Not confidently, I'm guessing. "Can you sing, Nik?" He asked Nikki. "Sort of." She said hesitantly. "Yes, yes she can" Kayleigh butted in. "Great! Hayes, you can use my guitar and we'll do a singing vine!"

We got set up and recorded the vine. Shawn posted it to his, I will just revine it later. Nikki and Kayleigh were actually really good! I wasn't expecting it. Shawn was scrolling through his notifications and looked up and said to the girls "Girls, they absolutely love you! Too right they should and all!" Shawn said smiling especially at Kay.

A little bit later Nikki and I had to leave. Shawn was going to stay at Kayleigh's for a bit as they realised that we hadn't done that much of the project and we really needed to get it done. "Bye guys!" I said as I walked out the door with Nik. "There was a chorus of 'bye's' and 'see you later's' and with that we left.
