Chapter 18

Dionne's P.O.V

Kay, Dan and I were sitting on Kay's bed. We had a film on but none of us were really watching it. Kay was on her phone scrolling through Twitter when her face scrunched up in disgust. "Are you okay?" I asked her. "No, no I'm not!" She replied angrily. "Why? What's happened?!" Daniel asked confused. "Hayes happened!" She said furiously tapping her phone.

Kay's P.O.V

*texting*

Me: Nikki are you and Hayes still together?

Nik: Yeah, why?

Me: Check Twitter...

Nik: Okay?

Nik's P.O.V

I was sitting in the Restaurant eating when my phone buzzed. It was Kay. I checked Twitter as she had told me to and that's when I saw it, the picture. A single tear dropped down my face and I quickly wiped it away. I excused myself to the toilets as I could not sit and cry at the table.

*texting*

Me: Why would you do this to me?!

Hayes: Do what?

Me: Kiss Courtney?!

Hayes: Nikki. I didn't kiss her, I'm not talking about this over text...

Me: Well I don't want to see you!

Hayes: Nikki.
Hayes: Nikki?
Hayes: Nikki! Answer me!

I went back to the table after sorting myself out. This was going to be one hell of a shitty weekend.

It was Saturday night and I was sitting in my bedroom, I need some time to be alone. Hayes had texted me and called me but I don't want to see or talk to him for a long time.

There was a knock at the door so I called "MUM CAN YOU GET THE DOOR?!" "Oh wait she's not here..." I said talking to myself before getting up to go get the door. There was another knock. "Alright! Alright! I'm coming!" I yelled to the door. I opened the door to a soaking wet Hayes. No matter how much I disliked him right now, I still cared for him. "Come in, Jesus Christ! What are you doing out in the rain?!" I said pulling him in. "I came to explain myself to you. "Hayes if that's why you're hear I don't want to hear it. When the rain stops you can leave." I said sitting down and starting to watch the television. "Nikki, please let me explain." He said, taking my hand. "Fine, but don't touch me." I said snatching my hand away from his, even though I wanted to keep it in his grasp. He looked taken aback but carried on as normal.

"Courtney kissed me Nik, I know that sounds pathetic but I didn't kiss her back honestly. I don't know who told you but I didn't kiss her." He explained. "I saw a picture on Twitter, a fan must have taken it..." I said sadly. "Nikki, you have to believe me, I wouldn't do that to you!" Hayes said grabbing my hand again and this time I let him. "I believe you Hayes... I swear that girl is trying to ruin my life!" I said angrily. "Yeah well she's not getting me, I want to be with you." He said turning my head towards him and kissing me gently. I smiled as I pulled away from this kiss.

"Nikki." Hayes said breaking me from my thoughts. "Yes?" I asked. "I leave in a month..." He said. "You what?!" I screamed. "I go to Magcon in a month." He explained. "Oh..." I said sadly. "No Nikki don't cry, I need to ask you something." He said wiping a stray tear from my face. I didn't even know I was crying until he had said so. "What is it?" I asked. "I would like you to come with me, only if you want to though." He said waiting for an answer. "Hayes, I'd love to come... But I need to talk to my family about it." I smiled. He smiled back and hugged me tightly.
