"It was the late afternoon, and the traveler and Paimon found themselves in Mondstadt. Tired from work and eager to return to Liyue, the two wandered towards the Knights of Favonius, half-expecting to be given another assignment.
That's when Keaya approached them, his tone both polite and cunning. Though he acted friendly, the traveler sensed a layer of dishonesty underneath his words and mannerisms.
"I have a job for you." Keaya started...
"So, what's the job?" he asked.
Keaya smiled, a little too wide for comfort.
"...I just need you two to go see for yourself. Go to these areas and figure out what's going on with the abyssal creatures. But be careful, because some things may be better left alone..."
The traveler thought for a moment, considering the request. On one hand, it was an interesting proposition: the abyss was a forbidden place, and the thought of entering it was both intriguing and ominous. On the other hand, knowing Kenya's history of manipulation and deceit, the traveler had his suspicions about the task.
"So, you want us to just go into the abyss and figure out what's going on?" he asked.
"Pretty simple, right?" Keaya responded with a chuckle.
The traveler didn't find it amusing. "...and there's no other catch?" he asked.
Keaya smiled, his tone still friendly but there was a hint of something ominous underneath.
"Just going in there to check it out... What other catch could there be?"
"...Right..." the traveler said slowly, slightly suspicious.
He looked at paimon, who was also slightly unsure about the whole thing.
"So, we just walk into these bases and see if we find anything?" the traveler asked once again, just to be certain.
"Simple as that." Keaya said with a smirk. The traveler wasn't convinced, but paimon spoke up.
"Well, paimon guess it couldn't hurt to look. Maybe we'll even get paid!" she said optimistically.
