Chapter 3 Fighting through this

" So as the next few hours went by the first hour, of Maddie's first time being on dialysis.the process is going slowly since that hasn't not been twenty four hours yet, plus it's gentler on her body so as the poor girl. Lied in there looking fragile, so susceptible it's hard to see a person so active lying, so still in one place at the moment. Attached to machines  wires tube and blood pressure cuff attached to her left arm they want to, keep in on it because  of the Renal hypertension, also called renovascular , is elevated blood pressure. caused by kidney disease. Is not stable while have stage 4 renal failure. Along as they worked on her  Maddie was going into acute respiratory failure so it was, touch and go for while but able to, get under control so she is on oxygen. As she first got into the emergency room, she was completely unresponsive.That her body shut down so it took awhile work on her they found that she had a high amounts of toxins in her blood which caused her to have permanent kidney damage. Occasionally, acute kidney failure causes permanent loss of kidney function, or end-stage renal disease. Leading to blood loss so lead to doctors to give her a transfusion it took, awhile to work on her but eventually.Got under control but she still in unstable stable condition which her critical ill so that way the young, girl is that way she is in intensive care unit. For awhile to thing get better

" As the time struck  seven o clock pm, meaning it's the end of Megan shift. Was ending for the evening so as the female nurse finally finished up and was about leave and go home, Paige who is Maddie's other nurse. Was just about to walk into the small private hospital room that belong to the girl before taking another, step forward she noticed her. Megan they have been best friends since nursing school and been here at this hospital together fly about seven years now, so we can say there very closes. Sometimes they don't have the same shift together since? it varies so don't get work. Side by by side that often

" Oh hi Megan how, are you? it's nice, seeing you both you leave the hospital. For the evening I see that your shift is through the day as other female nurses was starting a conversation, with her colleague and noticed. The young teenage girl lying in tiny in huge hospital bed and felt bad and paused for a second, and was taking everything in while. Wonder what happened so asked her best friend in private so as they had a conversation Megan explained everything, to her it took about thirty to forty five minutes. As it a complicated situation the she filled her in with everything and with not a missing detail, was not talking about about. So after a long forty five minute went by of a long complicated, and draining medical conversation. Paige was filled in with everything single detail about the new patient so she knows everything and what happened, to Maddie. So now know's what's. Going on now

" Thank you Megan, for telling filling me on everything. About Maddie recent medical history now I know what to except know as we look over her chart's on foot of the bed I believe it's time for you hand over her medical, file to me because I can take it from. Here my shift has now started and I can take tend to get said the other female nurse while responding back to, her best friend.

" Come on Megan we didn't go to 4 years of nursing  school. By while work to get our medical degree I can handle this  before so what,think's I can't with this poor girls while she is  going through. This hell and suffering situation right she's facing a serious medical issue at the moment and is struggling while fighting, for her life and what said from our long. Conversation the doctors dialysis is her only hope and chance of survival even while being, on list and waiting for a proper match on the search of  kidney donor transplant. Right now it's not going happen a time soon so we don't know how long that's going to take so right now she is, battling hard at the moment but. I can sense Maddie is a fighter and will end up pulling through this, All we can do is wait if  she gets fully dialyzed.  And hoping the next 24 hours goes smoothly without in complications along having her body fully rest and heal within the predicted 5 days. She is not stable, and doesn't mean is completely out of the woods and not ready to wake up yet I'm even the girl dies it too soon. We don't want jinx it to soon so as right now she's not made any progress aghin we want her bed rest because right now, believe she one sick kid and body. Is fighting now as the nurse said so as they continued they finished there conversation Megan left for the night and Paige took over she was told specific call instructions by Megan move the new patient. While tending to her. And with that The female nurse step in, and began to do her work.

Meanwhile at, the Rooney household". The family was still in process after. Hearing Maddie's recent diagnosis of stage, four renal failure, and still a shock. In all the minds

" I hope Maddie is, able to pull through because this suspense. It's killing me. I know we're not able to visit her because she is sick  in of medical reason but it's not fair we're not able to until he starts making progress in recovery. But it it's hard I can't see my twin sister cause we're so close. I love her and don't wanna lose someone that's close to me that love she begins to cry.

" I know, honey, all we can do is pray and hope the doctors and nurses will be able to do our job and help her. Because all we can do right now is just sit here and wait for any changes in status right now we can't visit her because of injection and she can get more sick, and possibly die so that is the reason why, she can't have any visitors at the moment. We'll just wait for a call from the doctor right now it's their hands and we can't do anything about it at the moment, so all we can do is wait for the answer. So we have to be patient both the parents as the whole family was sitting on the couch at night. And with that Liv understood the sheunderstood she can't do anything for her sister at the moment. And decided to listen both her parents,the night went kind of slient. But the family but chat amongst themselves as time past, Parker finally was able to end up. "Look I know that we are, all still processing this right at. Moment but I believe that my sister never chose to give, up I know Maddie she is strong and.and will be able to get through this like I know she a fighter and I believe that and will not end up giving up, on her that fast I'm grateful that all doctors and nurses. Are doing there job as they take care of her now let's promise we are 100 percent while being, by her side and supporting her. Though he spoke with wise words

" I agree with, Parker and believe he is completely right. About what he just said I s true i believe in you little bro I just, need to pray for our sister she and sense she will. End up fighting this even though she long journey ahead even though we are still processing this at, moment we are together and will. All slowly get through this I know we can't see her but in time, we will right it's not that time as we wait patiently. Our wait will end up being and eventually. I know we be aren't able to visit right we have listen to what Doctor James, he said she sick and not recovered so let', wait and see what happens in in the mean time , it still people in what's going on so they are all in the loop.
