- Third Person POV -

Night fell and Jeonghan finished with all the quick check-ups.

"Good boy, we're all done now." Jeonghan patted the dog's head in his hand. "We'll take care of that rash tomorrow, alright?"

"Mingyu, can you fill his water bowl before we close the cage?" Jeonghan looked up to find no Mingyu. "Mingyu? Jees, I knew he was gonna run off sooner or later."

"That's something we can try to do." Mingyu's voice was faint but audible.

Jeonghan peaked out of the door dropping in on Mingyu and Koko's conversation.

"I bet most of the people don't even know this place exists. Fist step to get them to adopt is to bring attention to them." Mingyu continued explaining his plan. "We can drive in town, they'll find a place to call home in no time"

"You'll do that? Wouldn't that be too much work?" Koko asked with a worried expression not wanting to trouble Mingyu and Jeonghan more then she already had.

"If there is a will, there is a way! I'm sure we can do it!" Mingyu smiled.

Jeonghan smiled at Mingyu's kindness.

Mingyu was outside in the dark playing with the pig.

"Mingyu..." Jeonghan walked outside.

"Oh? We're done?" Mingyu turned around.

"We? You mean I'm done."

"Sorry, I went to talk with Miss Koko."

"Hmmm... I heard it all." Jeonghan looked away. "What you're trying to do isn't easy you know. You can't just give the animals away to anyone who wants them. There's a process you have to follow."

"It's fine, I'll be here for a while. I can work on that with Miss Koko." Mingyu smiled.

"TSK! Here, take this back then!" Jeonghan pulled out the money Mingyu gave him.

"What?" Mingyu raised an eyebrow.

"Take it. Just use it for whatever adoption drive you're planning. Honestly, do I look like someone who'll pocket money for work like this? I wouldn't be a vet if I didn't care for animals in the first place. All the vet services will be covered by me so don't worry about that. Also, the clinic is a decent spot in the center of town, you can do it there if you want."

"Oh wow, that's so nice of you. Thank you." Mingyu took the money.

"You're not so bad yourself." Jeonghan sighed sitting down beside Mingyu. He folded his arms changing the topic. "S-So A-Anyway! The thing you said earlier about feeling unwelcomed... I-I'm S-S-Sor... Sorr..."

Mingyu gulped looking at how tense Jeonghan was.

"L-Look you were freaking annoying the first time, okay! I was from the bottom of my heart really pissed off! But I'll try to be nicer to you from now on! Not because you're Cheol's friend but because you're a kinda okay human." Jeonghan huffed. "Okay? Okay, end of conversation."

"Pfft—Hahaha!" Mingyu laughed his heart out.

"WHAT?! Why are you laughing at me?! I'm serious!"

"I wasn't talking about you when I said that but thanks, I appreciate that." Mingyu threw a stick far wanting to play catch with the pig.

"Seriously?!"

"Actually, it's Cheol..."

"Cheol? Did something happen?"
