Hello, everyone. I will not be finishing this story, so you will forever be left on a cliffhanger. I'm very sorry. Have a good day! :)

(Are you still here? HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!)

(Keefe's POV)

"Thanks, Dex." Keefe said when Dex dropped him off at the airport.

"No problem, man. Keep in touch." Dex replied. They each clapped each other on the back in a weird hug, and then Dex drove away in his car. Keefe took a deep breath, blew it out, and dragged his suitcase behind him as he walked through the sliding doors. He only had a little bit of time to pack, but he made sure to bring everything he needed.

He was only going to be in Paris for two days.

Keefe remembered the memory like yesterday.

He had gotten Sophie an eiffel tower keychain for her 10th birthday. Paris was her favorite city in the world. She'd gone there as a kid, and she loved speaking French. She stopped when she grew up, because people made fun of her. And even though Keefe encouraged her to keep going, she stopped completely.

One time, when Sophie and Keefe had gone together to Paris, she'd pointed to a giant blue stuffed bear, which she'd begged her parents for. But they never got it for her, because it was so expensive. Now that Keefe had a really good job and super rich parents, he had enough to buy it, and keep his promise that he'd made to Sophie. She was going to get that bear. He was determined to buy it.

He walked through security and grabbed some treats from a nearby bakery in the airport before plopping down in one of the seats to wait.

It was a long time.

Suddenly, his phone rang. Keefe picked it up and clicked the answer button.

"Hello?" He asked. There was static. He peered at the caller.

It was Grady.

"Hello?" He repeated. More static. Until...

"Keefe! Sophie..." More static. "Come... Outsi-" The call ended. Keefe scrunched his eyebrows together.

"What in the..." He muttered, trying to call Grady again. But he didn't answer.

He decided he wasn't going to risk it. If it was about Sophie, he was going to rush back to the hospital and find out what was going on.

"I guess the teddy bear will have to wait." He mumbled, running towards the exit.

(Sophie's POV)

"What happened?" Sophie asked when Grady put his phone back in his pocket.

"The internet got cut off. I don't know if he heard me correctly." Grady admitted. Sophie sighed heavily, rubbing her temples.

"Can you try again, please?" Sophie begged.

"I'm sorry, honey, but it's not working, no matter how hard I try." Grady said gently. Sophie felt like flipping a table over.

"He can't go to... Wherever he's going. I have to let him know I'm awake. Then he'll come back." Sophie mumbled to no-one in particular.

"Can we ask the security over there? Maybe they saw him come inside." Edaline suggested. Sophie's face lit up as Edaline steered them over there.

"Excuse me, sir." Grady said. The man spun around.

"Yes?" He replied.

"We're looking for a blonde boy." Grady said. "Did you see anyone like that come in here?"

"Well, I've seen lots... How old was he?" The man asked.

"He's in college." Sophie jumped in. The man nodded slowly, rubbing his chin.

"Well, I suppose we could check the security cameras..." His voice trailed off when they heard shouting. At first, Sophie couldn't make sense of the words.

And then her eyes widened.

It was Keefe, shouting, "FOSTER, I'M BACK!"
