(Keefe's POV, right after Sophie was taken by the Neverseen)

"Both of you are fired." Keefe muttered to his bodyguards as he started to walk away. Axel and Acel stepped in front of him, forming a wall with their muscular bodies.

"Sir-" Axel started. Keefe held up his hand.

"Guys, I'm really not in the mood. Just go away." Keefe whispered, on the brink of tears. Axel and Acel exchanged a look before turning back to him.

"Aren't you going to get Sophie back?" Acel said quietly.

The words were like a punch to the gut.

"Of course I am. Now go away." Keefe muttered.

"We're not leaving until you tell us what your plan is. Because we want to make sure you're able to get her back. Otherwise, we're going to be in trouble with the big boss." Axel explained.

"Who's the big boss?" Keefe asked quietly to change the subject.

"Mr. Forkle." Acel jumped in.

Keefe's eyes widened.

"He saved Sophie after she was kidnapped, right? Can't he help her this time?" Keefe pressed.

"Most likely not." Axel murmured, making Keefe's excited mood drop. "He's very busy."

"I don't care. I..." He cleared the thickness from his throat. "I need Sophie back."

"Well, I suppose we could try..." Acel said quietly, glancing at Axel.

Axel sighed and pulled a laser from his pocket.

"I have to shoot you with this." Axel mumbled.

"Woah, woah, woah," Keefe muttered, stepping back with his hands up. "Why?"

"It makes you blind for about five minutes so we can anonomously take you to headquarters. It won't hurt... Too much." Acel replied.

"This is seriously the only way? Can't you put a blindfold on me?" Keefe asked.

"Sorry. Mr. Forkle requires it." Axel apologized. Keefe sighed, staring at the laser.

"I guess, if it gets me to Sophie... It's worth it." He decided.

"Good. Now look at this little black dot," Axel pointed to the middle of the laser gun. "and then when I click this button you'll go blind for five minutes. We'll carry you to headquarters from there. You can't blink during the process or it won't work." Axel instructed. Keefe nodded slowly.

"There's no permanent damage for using this thing, right?" Keefe questioned right before Axel was about to push the button.

"Let's hope not."

Then everything went dark.

(Sophie's POV)

"Sophie!" Lady Gisela squealed with a sing-song voice.

Sophie didn't bother lifting her head. She was laying on her mattress, sprawled out like a starfish. She had cried so much her eyes were surrounded with red and she had used all of the tissues in the room. Because Keefe wasn't with her.

"What do you want?" Sophie snapped, her voice croaky from all the crying.

"It's time for the best part of my plan." Lady Gisela replied. Her expression looked like she was trying to contain her excitement. And Sophie was trying to control her anger.

"And what part of the plan is that?" Sophie asked sarcastically, because she didn't really care.

"It's a surprise. Now, come on. Everything's already set up." Lady Gisela ushered as Sophie groaned and struggled back into her wheelchair.
