I looked over at her, and in that moment, a rush of emotions flooded through me. I realized that I hadn't taken the time to get ready before coming here straight from the office. "Oh, shoot," I whispered under my breath, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

But I couldn't let that stop me. I mustered up the courage and walked towards her, taking a seat in front of her. She was engrossed in her phone, but I couldn't help but notice how stunning she looked. The delicate pearls adorning her ears added an elegant touch, and her pink lips were absolutely captivating. Only I knew how much I had missed her.

"Ahem, ahem... seems like someone is busy," I playfully remarked, hoping to catch her attention. She looked up, and her expression turned from surprise to shock upon seeing me. "What are you doing here?" she asked, ready to leave.

But I couldn't let her slip away again. I had to remind her of the marriage proposal we had discussed. "Remember that marriage proposal?" I said, hoping to pique her curiosity. She hesitated for a moment and then reluctantly took her seat again. "Oh wow, that means Papa chose you," she said, a hint of bitterness in her voice.

"Yeah," I replied, a mix of happiness and nervousness bubbling up inside me. But I could sense that she was still angry, thinking that I had betrayed her. Today was my chance to set things right, to tell her the truth and prove myself if given a second chance by fate. I couldn't let this opportunity go to waste.

I was not in the mood to listen to him. What he did wasn't just about me; it was a betrayal to our future and left me heartbroken. I stood up from the chair, ready to escape to the dance floor and forget about him. But suddenly, he grabbed my wrist, preventing me from leaving.

"Don't you dare touch me again!" I yelled, my voice filled with anger and hurt. I tried to pull my hand away from his grip, desperately wanting to be free from his hold. Eventually, he let go, and I took a few steps back, creating some distance between us.

"What do you want now, Garv?" I demanded, my voice trembling with a mix of emotions. I was curious, though hesitant, to hear what he had to say. Maybe he would finally explain why he had cheated on me with that other girl.

He looked at me, his gaze filled with a mixture of regret and longing. "Do you want to know who she was?" he asked, and my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't deny that a part of me wanted to know, to understand why he had strayed from our relationship.

"Yeah, tell me," I replied, my voice softer now, as I stood my ground. We found ourselves in the backyard of the venue, a secluded spot where we could have some privacy. I braced myself for the truth, hoping that his explanation would bring some closure to the pain I had been feeling.

As he was about to say, I got a call from Papa. I picked up the call, feeling frustrated at the time. "Beta, do you like him?" Papa asked me, and without thinking, I blurted out, "Papa, I don't like him, and I don't want to marry him." I quickly ended the call, not giving him a chance to respond.

But then, he confronted me, his grip tightening on my wrist. "What did you say? You don't want to marry me? How can you make that decision without even listening to me?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with hurt. He leaned in close, his warm breath against my ear, making me feel something deep inside. "Do you really not like me?" he whispered, his words sending shivers down my spine. I mustered the strength to push him away, trying to regain control of the situation.

Suddenly, he pulled out his mobile from his pocket and dialed a number. "Hello, Dad," he said, and I realized he had called his father. "Dad, aap shaadi ki taiyaari kijiye," he declared before abruptly ending the call. My heart sank as I protested, "Wait, I don't want to marry you!"

He started advancing towards me, and instinctively, I began to retreat. "Listen, jaan, I haven't forgotten anything. I know deep down you still feel something when I'm around you," he whispered, his voice filled with a mix of longing and determination. I closed my eyes, feeling the weight of his words, unsure of how to respond.

When I opened my eyes, I found that he had moved away from me. He began talking about a girl named Barkha, revealing that she was an orphan and his friend. I discovered that she had developed an intense obsession with him, and it became clear why he had left me that night. My heart ached as I realized the depth of the situation.

As I listened to Garv's words, the realization hit me hard. Garv is a rare gem in this world, a man who truly cares for me. He didn't cheat on me; it was just that he was going through a difficult time and couldn't control everything. The weight of my actions and the thought of breaking him made me burst into tears.

But then, something incredible happened. Garv, sensing my pain, stopped talking and came to me. He hugged me tightly, offering comfort and reassurance. In that moment, I  couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions—relief, remorse, and overwhelming love for Garv.

Through tears and a quivering voice, i managed to utter the words, "Garv, I'm sorry. I broke you." The sincerity in my voice was palpable as i kissed his whole face, trying to convey my regret and love. Garv, understanding the depth of my remorse, held me even tighter, assuring me that everything would be okay.

In that embrace, we both found solace and a glimmer of hope for our relationship. I realized that trust is a fragile thing, but it can be rebuilt with open communication and genuine apologies. Garv's forgiveness and understanding gave me the strength to believe in myself and in the power of my love.
