Puppet master

Chapter 3

I was sitting on the couch. I turned to my left. I saw the puppet that Sarah gave me. I grabbed the puppet. Lifting up the shirt I opened the back. I saw the carrots.

Obviously Dandy fed it. I grabbed the carrot. The bottom if the carrot was sharp. It was really thin, and sharp.

I touched the sides of the carrot. I walked over to get paper, grabbing it from one corner I cut the paper. It was really sharp.

I dropped the paper, I tried to cut the carrot in half. I couldn't. It was thin, very sharp, but yet you couldn't break it. I threw all of the carrots away in the trash.

"No! Don't do that!" I heard. I looked all around to find where the sound was coming from.

There was nothing. I looked down at the puppet. He was the only thing that was here. You can here my heart speeding up. Almost as if it was a race. I placed my hand over my heart, to calm it down a bit. I became very cautious.

I looked down at the puppet.

"I'm your new best friend!" I placed my hand on the tummy before that happened. I did it again,

"My name is eddy." I smiled at eddy.

I looked into the eyes of eddy. The pupil was really big. You can see the line of green around it. Almost as if it was an eclipse.

"Carrots! Carrots! Carrots! I love carrots! I need carrots!" I got out the carrots, and fed it into his mouth.

I heard the phone ring. It was Sarah.

"Hey! Listen I'm sick today and you need to take care of dandy. Is that alright?"

"Sure that's no problem." I hung up the phone.

After a while of playing with the puppet I heard dandys voice over the door. I opened the door.

He had the same sharp carrots I had thrown away.

"Dandy, you shouldn't be playing with sharp objects." I grabbed the carrot and threw it away.

"But it's not sharp." He grabbed the carrot, and put it in his finger.

"What?" I said confused.

"Listen I gotta go. You two have fun." Sarah ruffled through dandys hair.

Dandy came inside the house.

"Listen, I know that they are sharp."

"No they are not! Ralphy told me last night that when he eats carrots they will turn sharp. They look sharp but they aren't sharp! I know more than you."

"Excuse me? You are eight. I am a teenager. I have been living longer than you. So don't point that smart mouth at me. I also tested the carrots and they weren't-- Wait! Did you say that Ralphy talked to you last night?" I started to look at Ralphy.

"Yes! He talks to me every night. He's really friendly." Dandy started to pet Ralph's hair.

"Wait a minute, about an hour ago I was throwing away the carrots. Then he said, 'no don't do that.' What does that mean?" I asked.

"Oh my god! That's what keeps them alive. If they don't have that in there stomach they die!"

Dandy ran over to the door.

"Wait! I don't want it alive. I want it to be a normal puppet. A cold, plastic puppet. Plus, don't you think it's weird that he makes sharp carrots, and he talks to you?"

"No there is no reason to be suspicious. Ralphy takes good care of me! Also, The puppet is just like a human. So if your a puppet you want to be dead?" Dandy asked.

"No, but your crazy! Kill the puppet!" I yelled.

"No! I shall keep it alive!" I grabbed the puppet, and started to burn it in the fire place.

Dandy rushed over to the sink, and got a bucket full of water. I tripped him on the way over. The water spill on the fire. He was lucky enough.

Ralphy ended up getting the puppet. It's skin was black. Part of it was burned off. The skin was clearing up, and the skin was growing back.

I was starring at Ralphy.

Dandy hugged Ralphy, and dandys back was facing me. Ralphys eyes went from a clear green to a dark brown color. Almost turning into black.
