Tranquil Delights

I dream of a home in the Farthest North,
away from the chaos of the modern world–
where the land meets the ocean breeze,
where the people live in sanctity.

I dream of a bed in a simple home:
where candles are lit on open windows–
where the blanket warms the weary heart,
where the pillows calm my furious soul.

I dream of a dog watching me over
or a school of fishes in life-sized waters–
whom I can talk with when no one's around,
when the world echoes my aching sound.

I dream of a home and just a house,
where I wake up in joy, find solace at night;
lies down in peace, mind's safest and sound–
those are my longings, my tranquil delights.
