Maya's POV

"Are you gonna go sit with Mama?" I question as I love on Pongo.

Pongo smiles then he trots over to Lavender.

"I hope this doesn't sound weird, but service dogs and their relationships with their humans are always so cute." Aitana says.

"It's a special Bond." Blake Salazar says as she sits down next to me.

"It really is." Jessie Harris says from the seat next to Blake and I.

"Did she plan to do this because we were in Barcelona?" Olga Carmona asks as she and the other Spain ladies get comfy here in Lavender's backyard.

Lavender is performing the November 2026 edition of her Campfire Sessions tonight while myself, our friends, and her Spanish teammates watch.

"Uh maybe." I say. "Lava doesn't really explain when she chooses to put out a campfire session."

"Everyone ready?" Lavender questions then she sips on her beer while everyone says we're ready.

"ACTION." Daisy shouts.

"Fucking hell." Kara mumbles.

"Loud ass." Katarina mumbles.

"Hi friends." Lavender says into her microphone in front of her then she introduces the ladies playing instruments with her while she sings.

Jucinara Press is playing guitar, Isabella Salazar is playing bass, Emma Harris is playing the drums and Moon River is playing the keys.

"This first song tonight is called Burning and I wrote it while I was waiting for my friend Isabella to wake up out of her coma after the Army incident." Lavender says. "It started out being a sad song about my friends dying then it kinda transition into what it is now."

"Oh shit." Blake and I mumble as Lavender starts singing.

I've been burning
Yes, I've been burning
Such a burden
This flame on my chest
No insurance to pay for the damage
Yeah, I've been burning up since you left

I've been smoking, oh
More than twenty a day
Blame it on rebellion
Don't blame it on me
Wish I was younger
Back to the nineteenth of May
I had an open mind
Swore to never change

Funny how time goes by
Had respect for myself
That river ran dry
You reached a limit
I wasn't enough
It's like the fire replaced all the love

I've been burning
Yes, I've been burning
Such a burden
This flame on my chest
No insurance to pay for the damage
Yeah, I've been burning up since you left

Oh, if you ever called
I would run straight back
Give you my forgiveness
And the shirt off my back
No friends to turn to
Yeah, I messed up that
Wish we could smoke again
Just for a day, oh

Funny how time goes by
Had respect for myself
That river ran dry
You reached a limit
I wasn't enough
And it's like the fire replaced all the love

I've been burning
Yes, I've been burning
Such a burden
This flame on my chest
No insurance to pay for the damage
Yeah, I've been burning up since you left
