Why Not?

On a lighter note

I'd like to write

something happy

something bright

Like thoughts of rainbows

on a sunny day

or winter snow

and kids at play

Of candy floss

and big balloons

of laughing voices

and lilting tunes

Mile wide smiles

and cheery waves

positive thoughts

that everyone craves

Deny the pessimism

the dulling doom and gloom

give out a shout

with a mighty boom

Grab a hand and say hello

look at life another way

embrace the good things that you have

and enjoy a lovely day
