Today is a very special day for me
After six long months I get to see
Some of my family face to face
Still at a distance - not embrace
But hear live talk and see their smiles
And the fact they've come from many miles
Just this old man to see
And share how life was meant to be
To see expressions as words are spoken
Of body language long forgotten
The laughter that defines each one
The joy of having family fun . . .
This is a very special day for me
Because they came so far to be
With this old man, and say
Here's to a really happy day
You are finished being eight-three!
