the days that followed their kiss were filled with happiness. but then one day, during one of their quiet moments together, sitting in a corner of the park, that jay decided to break some news.

"wonnie," jay began, his voice soft but serious. "there's something i need to tell you."

jungwon looked up from where he was resting against jay's shoulder. "what is it, hyung?" he asked, sensing the tension in jay's voice.

jay took a deep breath, steeling himself. "my dad... he got a new job," he said slowly. "it's in another city. we're moving at the end of the month."

jungwon felt like the ground had been pulled out from under him. "w-what?" he stammered, his eyes wide with shock. "you're moving? when?"

"at the end of the month," jay repeated, his voice cracking. "i just found out this morning. i didn't know how to tell you."

jungwon's mind raced, trying to process the information. "but... but what about us?" he asked, his voice filled with desperation.

jay reached out, taking jungwon's hands in his. "that's why i'm telling you now," he said, his voice filled with determination. "i don't want to lose you, wonnie. we'll find a way to make this work, i promise."

jungwon felt tears welling up in his eyes. "but how, jay? you'll be so far away," he said, his voice breaking.

"we can call, video chat, visit each other on weekends," jay said, his grip on jungwon's hands tightening. "i know it's not the same, but i can't imagine my life without you."

jungwon felt a sob rising in his throat. "i can't believe this is happening," he whispered, tears streaming down his cheeks. "i just found you, and now you're leaving."

jay pulled him into a tight embrace, his own tears falling. "i know, wonnie. i know," he murmured. "but we have to stay strong. we'll get through this together."

they sat there, holding each other tightly as the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the park. the future seemed uncertain, but in that moment, they knew they would fight for their love, no matter the distance.

...

the following weeks passed in a blur of bittersweet moments. jungwon and jay made the most of their time together, cherishing every second. but as the day of jay's departure approached, the reality of their situation became harder to ignore.

on jay's last day at school, the two of them skipped classes, spending the day wandering their favorite spots and reminiscing about the memories they'd made. as the sun began to set, they found themselves back in the park where they had shared their first kiss.

"this place... it means so much to me," jungwon said, his voice tinged with sadness. "it's where we started."

jay nodded, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "and it's where we'll always have a part of each other," he said softly.

as they stood there, the weight of their impending separation pressing down on them, jay took jungwon's face in his hands and kissed him deeply, pouring all his love and longing into the kiss.

when they finally pulled apart, jay rested his forehead against jungwon's. "no matter what happens, you are my one and only," he whispered.

jungwon's heart swelled with emotion. "and you are mine," he replied, his voice filled with determination. "we'll get through this, jay. together."

with that, they held each other close, their hearts beating in unison as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the world in a soft, golden glow. no matter the distance, their love would remain unbreakable.
