"Adrian! Put me down this instant!" I yelled, pounding on my new bff's back as he carried me on his shoulder.

He paused, index finger on his chin. "Uh... no." he said an continued through the hall. "Where's your boyfriend anyway?" He muttered.

"Maybe you should check up your-"

"I wouldn't finish that sentence, Little One." He chuckled.

"I'm not there, Ellie." Kenneth chuckled. "But good try." he said, just as Adrian set me on my feet.

"Had to guess somewhere didn't I?" I laughed and punched Adrian's shoulder playfully. "No carrying Ellie like a sack of potatoes!" I said.

Adrian punched me lightly back. "No punching Adrian for no reason!"

"Oh, Ellie had reason." I nodded.

"Hey!" Kenneth said, making us look at him. "No speaking in third person!"

We all laughed and made our way to the living room. Yup, just another Wednesday lounging around.

"Hey Kenneth, I just noticed something." I commented, scrolling through Netflix.

"Yeah, and what would that be?" He asked from the chair beside the couch I sat on. Yup, claimed my own couch here too.

"This is your parents house right?" I asked.

"That is accurate, yes."

"Why haven't I even seen your parents once?" I asked, looking at him now.

"They're away on a month long vacation. Left just before I got the threats and brought you here. They should be getting back sooner though, because of everything. Should be here in a week or two." he said, going back to something on his phone.

"Don't worry, Ellie. You'll meet your future in-laws soon enough." Adrian cooed as if he were speaking to a three year old.

I glared at him and clicked on the episode in season 1 of Stephan's birthday in Vampire Diaries.

"No, not this BS!" Adrian whined.

"Hey, shut your cake hole and watch it!" I snapped, while Kenneth just chuckled but never looked away from his phone.

Don't get me wrong, phones are so helpful an amazing, but when someone sits on their phone the entire time, I get slightly annoyed.

I huffed and rolled my eyes, before ignoring everyone and watching as we met Lexi and they caught up. I grinned knowingly of what would happen later on in the show and teared up when (*SPOILER ALERT!!!*) Lexi died.

Once the episode was over, I looked over to see if Kenneth even glanced away from his phone, but found his eyes glued to his screen.

I huffed again and turned to Adrian who was asleep. I took a pillow from the couch and threw it at him. He jumped up. "Yes mom!" I raised an eyebrow at him. "What?!"

"Do you want to go do something? I'm bored!" I said.

"You don't want me to take you anywhere?" Kenneth asked, still looking at his phone.

"I'd feel safer with someone who can look away from their phone for more than five seconds, thank you very much." I said, trying not to sound too rude, but seemed to have failed when he looked up at me cofused. I rolled my eyes and turned to Adrian. "So?"

"You ok?" Kenneth asked.

I ignored him. "If you don't want to go, I'll just go take a nap upstairs, though I really want to do something." I hinted.
