Later that night Lena came walking into Cat Co to pick up Kara so that they could go home. "Miss Luthor, Kara's just finishing up a conference call, if you'll just wait out here for a moment." Julie stated. "Of course." Lena replied as she took a seat in a chair. A few minutes later Kara opened her door and stood there smiling at Lena. "Ready?" Kara asked. "Yes. How was your conference call?" Lena asked. "It went really well actually, everyone's on board with the new magazine set up." Kara replied. "That's wonderful!" Lena replied with a smile.
The ride home was short but filled with talk as they shared stories about their day. "I'm so proud of you. You know that right." Lena said as they rode in the elevator to their place. "I know, and I love you for that. Are you ready for dinner? I put some chicken in the crock pot while you were showering." Kara replied. "I thought I smelled something delicious!" Lena said. "Yes, I hope you like chicken tacos Lee, cause that's what we're having tonight." Kara replied. "Chicken tacos sound absolutely amazing. But first let's get out of our work clothes." Lena replied.
A few minutes later Kara and Lena were back in the kitchen preparing to have dinner. Kara's busy stirring up the chicken taco mix, while Lena's getting the plates and warming up the tortillas up in the microwave. "What do we have for toppings Kar?" Lena asked. "All sorts, they're in little dishes in the fridge already, along with sour cream." Kara replied. "Oh here they are. I'll put them on the table. Is the meat all ready?" Lena asked. "All set, I'll bring it over in a moment." Kara replied. Lena nodded as she sat the toppings out on the table.
A few minutes later Kara had put down two hot pads on the table and was carrying over the crockpot with the chicken in it. "Gosh Kara...this looks amazing!" Lena gushed. "Thank you Lee. I just hope it's not too spicy." Kara replied. "I'm sure it'll be just fine my love." Lena said as she put a large spoon full onto her tortilla before adding all the toppings to it. Taking a large bite of the taco Lena lets out a loud moan. Kara smiles to herself as she makes her own taco. "Kara...these are amazing!" Lena groaned as she swallowed her first bite. "I'm really glad you like them darling." Kara replied.
After dinner Lena insisted on doing the dishes since Kara cooked everything. While Lena did the dishes Kara setup a movie in the living room and waited patiently for Lena to start the dishwasher.
