That night everyone gathered at the nicest restaurant in National City. "I have tried to get into this restaurant for weeks now...how did your assistant manage to get us a table so quickly?" Lilian asked. "She's just really good at her job." Kara replied. "Well you'll have to thank her for us. Now..what's this big news you wanted to share?" Lilian asked. Kara looked at Lena who smiled and nodded encouragingly at her. Slowly she stood up from her seat and took a deep breath. "As most of you know...when Cat steps down as CEO I'll be her replacement...however...what you all don't know...is that at the end of this month...Cat Grant will be stepping down as CEO of Cat Co Media..and I will be taking over as CEO permanently!" Kara exclaimed.
Everyone cheered and congratulated her before Lena ordered a bottle of the best champagne for the table along with more food for everyone. A few minutes later the champagne was poured and Lena stood up from her seat. "To Kara!" She exclaimed. "TO KARA!" Everyone chorused happily as their glasses clinked together. "I'm so proud of you Kara." Lena whispered. "Thank you darling." Kara replied with a smile. As the night went on everyone was joking and laughing and talking about how they hated to leave in the morning.
After dinner everyone returned to the penthouse to enjoy one last night together. Tomorrow morning the Luthor's would be returning to Metropolis. "This has been a fun weekend away. It was made even better after we met Kara Danvers here! Welcome to the family Kara!" Lex said. "Thank you Lex." Kara replied with a smile. "Well I think We should all get some sleep. We have an early flight in the morning." Lilian stated. With that Alex and Kelly left, along with Eliza as everyone else disappeared to their rooms leaving Kara and Lena alone again. "So..we made it through one family filled weekend..." Lena whispered. "Heres too many more family weekends in our future." Kara replied.
A few minutes later Kara and Lena headed off to bed. "Tonight was perfect. I'm glad our families like each other." Lena said. "I'm glad too darling. But I had no doubt in my mind that they wouldn't get along." Kara replied as she kissed Lena's forehead. "I love you." Lena whispered. "I love you too darling..let's sleep now..." Kara whispered as she pulled Lena into her arms and let sleep over take them.
