The morning light filtered through my window as I prepared my gear. It was a necessary action to ensure that nothing will go wrong; I planned on being there the whole day and even potentially staying the night if I believe I'm close to Celebi. As I finished packing, I glanced out the window and saw the sun beginning to rise higher in the sky.I heard a small knock on my door before it got pushed open, "Where are you going?" Lyras voice asked.
I turned around to look at her, "Going to explore the forest with Takuya." I answered, slinging my backpack over my shoulder.
Her eyes widened a little, "If you're using his first name..." She muttered, "Did you know him already?" She asked, a curious look on her face.
I nodded, walking with her downstairs, "Yeah, we grew up in the same place." I answered.
"Really?" She remarked, "That's so cool! Was it fun seeing a childhood friend?" She asked.
Childhood friend huh, that's one way to put it I guess.
I shrugged while opening the door, "It was a surprise, I wasn't expecting to see him here." I answered.
She gave a large smile, "Well, have fun today and be safe!" She exclaimed.
"Thanks, Lyra." I said, stepping outside into the fresh morning air.
She just smiled at me and waved while closing the door. I made my way over to the meeting point where Takuya was already waiting leaned up against a tree, upon seeing me he straightened up.
"Ready?" I asked, motioning towards the forest.
He nodded, "Yeah, let's hurry." He answered, determination and a hint of resentment in his eyes.
With that we entered the forest, after a short amount of time Takuya broke the silence, "What's the plan?" He asked, "Even with what Elm told us that doesn't help us in locating it." He remarked.
I gave a small nod, "I know, unfortunately in a situation like this you can't really plan ahead," I paused, "Our only plan is to go as deep into the forest as we can, it's just a but going deeper into the forest could lead us to areas less touched by mankind and there lies the chance to encounter Celebi." I answered
He took a second to absorb my words, "So your plan is to hope it likes the more untouched areas and then when we're there it'll suddenly appear?" He questioned.
I nodded, "Yeah, that's exactly the plan." I replied.
Takuya let out a sigh, "I don't know why I was expecting you to have some mastermind plan to find Celebi." He remarked.
I shrugged, "With other Pokemon it's a lot simpler, unfortunately for us Celebi has complete control over whether or not we encounter it or not." I answered.
He was about to answer but a Fearows screech interrupted him, "Caw!" It cried out.
I looked up to the see the Pokemon, it was staring at us with eyes that told me I had to battle it if I wanted to continue into the forest.
I grabbed a Pokeball off my waist and tossed it in the air, "Come on out, Gengar." I said.
Let's test my theory...
Gengar popped out of its Pokeball, a mischievous smile already on its face. I pointed towards the Fearow, "That'll be your opponent." I said.
The wild Fearow eyed Gengar wearily, this was most likely its first time encountering a Pokémon like Gengar. Gengar floated towards Fearow, he was eager for this challenge. The sun shining down through the leaves of the forest made for a scenic view.
