I chuckled nervously, mentally prepared to just kill myself. "I need to go to the capital. How far is it?"
"It'd take days. How did you even come here?" He crossed his arms, interrogating me.
"I fell from the sky." I blurted out with a poker face.
His face was blank. "Like a fallen angel?" He said flatly.
"Exactly."
"I don't think you're an angel."
"I'm a demon."
"Fair enough." He shrugged, walking away.
"Hey!" I ran after him. "Aren't you gonna help me?"
"Thought you were good on your own?"
I sighed, rolling my eyes. I didn't like him one bit.
"I don't have a map on me. I want you to show me the directions."
"You'll figure something out," he said, his voice laced with boredom as he walked deeper into the forest, and I just followed him like a lost puppy.
"I'm a damsel in distress. You're not gonna help a damsel in distress. Where are your manners, young man!" I exclaimed, probably exaggerating a bit, but this young man was irritating.
"I won't go to the Capital." He glared at me, his face serious.
"Why?" I stood before him.
"Because I said so." He walked past me again.
I bit my cheek, frustrated. "You know what? I don't need your help, I'll go on my own first thing in the morning. Have fun in this stranded place!" I walked away from him, not knowing where I was going on this damn island.
Where am I gonna sleep? I'm starving, too.
I stopped before a giant tree. It reminded me of the one I and Haleth used to sit under.
I leaned against it, hugging myself as I looked up at the sky. Thank God it was about to be a full moon. It illuminated the sky.
I wonder if Ashton is looking for me. Knowing him, he's either haunting down that kid or he's back in Monaler to inform Father and Mother about it.
If I go to the Galari-Palace, I have a chance of going back to Monaler. But how can I do that if I don't know where it is?
"I hate this!" I whined, lying on the ground.
Maybe if I flew high enough, I'd see a distant light of a closeby island, and then I'd find someone to help me, unlike that idiot Greenbeans.
I took off to the sky, but all I saw was endless darkness in darkness. It was eerily quiet. Like everything around this island was abandoned.
I sat back down, pulling the bracelet from my pocket. "Useless thing," I mumbled putting back as I closed my eyes with a sigh.
I heard the sound of footsteps and I looked up.
"Come with me." He said flatly and just walked away.
"And why would I do that?" I stood up calling after him. "Thought you didn't want to help me,"
"I assume you're hungry." He said again before disappearing into the trees.
"Say less," I mumbled running after him.
I stopped before a small made-up tree house. The roof was made of leaves, the walls of branches, and a wooden bed adorned with leaves laid in a corner. A few items were laid around, and there was a bonfire with a bowl of food right next to it.
