Part 19

It was a few months later that Niki saw Lisa face to face again.

After she became conscious, Jennie asked Mr Yang to drive her home and gave her a week off from work to recover. When she reported back to work she was simply informed by Mina that Jennie and Lisa already went to Switzerland for an unscheduled trip. She did bump into Rosie and Jisoo occasionally at work or meeting but they didn't talk about what happened at the mansion.

She stood anxiously in front of YG university now waiting for Lisa's arrival per Mina's instruction. As Lisa was currently in her last semester, the members thought it would be best for their maknae to focus on her studies only and she was tasked to manage Lisa's study schedule with the university.

To be honest, she's quite nervous. The last she saw of her boss her name was Priya instead of Lisa. She didn't know how much Lisa remembered. Whether Lisa will hate her for confronting Priya. She straightened herself when she saw the black Limo passing the university's gate. She's here. The car stopped in front of her and she quickly grabbed the back door, intending to open it. But to her surprise, she's met with resistance. She pulled again but the door remained unbudged. She was so sure the door was unlocked.

Few seconds later, Mr Yang stepped out from the driver's side as he quickly grabbed the back door on his side and opened it. Niki's eyes widened in surprise when Jennie stepped out from the vehicle instead.

"Oh? Ms Kim? I'm so sorry. I thought it was Ms Manoban's car."

Jennie just shook her head and walked towards her. Jennie then turned around and stood facing the now still car staring hard at the tinted window. "She's in there with me. But she insisted on opening her own damn door. Come on out now, Lisayah.."

They waited. Few seconds passed. Nothing.

"Lili...I'm gonna count to three before I asked Mr Yang to yank you out of the car..." Jennie threatened.

"Ha-na...Dool...."

Before she could finish, the car door suddenly opened and Lisa jumped out. "Okay! Okay! I'm here! Phewwwwww...who thought that coming back to school is quite nerve wrecking yeah?"

"Don't be ridiculous. There's nothing to be nervous about. Right, Niki?" Jennie suddenly asked her with a slight warning tone underneath it.

"Yes...yes...What Ms Kim said is true, Ms Man.....Lisa." She quickly corrected when she saw Jennie slightly shook her head.

"Erm..Niki...about what happened...Priya is my...." Lisa started hesitantly but she was stopped by Jennie.

"That was in the past, Lisa. Niki knows not to say anything about it."

Niki nodded at her eagerly, not wanting to make her boss feel uncomfortable. "Yes, don't worry about it, Ms Lisa."

Lisa let out a big smile. "Hey, thanks! Okay..come on guys, let's go! I want to get my coffee and I don't want to be late to my class too!"

"You go ahead with Mr Yang, Lili. I need to go through your new schedules with Niki so that I know you are not going to skip class. I want Ice Americano so get me one of those. I'll meet you there in a while."

Lisa pouted. "Aw..I'm not gonna skip class especially if you let me buy a cake too.."

"You just had breakfast.."

"Well, I'm hungry for cake now.." Jennie rolled her eyes but she nodded towards Mr Yang.

"Okay, go ahead. Just make sure that you don't go overboard on the sweets. Mr Yang will have his eyes on you."

"Yeay!" Lisa quickly grabbed Mr Yang's arms before dragging him away happily.

Niki watched the retreating figure in silence before she was interrupted from her staring when Jennie cleared her throat.
