Sunlight poured gently into the room, casting warm, golden beams across the bed where a young boy slept, his chest rising and falling rhythmically in slumber. The stillness of the morning air was soothing, and for a moment, time seemed to stretch on indefinitely. Yet, as the sunlight inched higher across his face, Y/N stirred, his eyelids fluttering open to greet the day.

With a slight groan, he raised a hand to shield his eyes from the light and reluctantly pulled himself from the cocoon of blankets. Slowly, Y/N swung his legs over the side of the bed, his bare feet brushing the cool wooden floor as he stood and stretched. The peaceful atmosphere of the Mathers mansion enveloped him, and for a brief moment, it felt like the world outside was a distant memory.

He walked to the window, resting his arms on the sill as he gazed out into the mansion's courtyard. The breeze was light, gently playing with his hair as it swept through the room. The garden below was in full bloom, with bright flowers dotting the landscape and the occasional bird flitting through the air. The serenity of it all felt like a dream-a sharp contrast to the chaos of the night before.

As Y/N leaned against the window, his mind wandered back to the events in the Majuus forest. The memory of Rem's feral state, her horn glowing and her eyes burning with oni rage, flashed in his mind. He felt a strange mix of pride and relief that they had managed to survive, but there was also a lingering unease, the kind that comes from facing down death more times than anyone should.

Suddenly, the sound of light footsteps approaching the door broke his reverie. Y/N turned his head slightly, listening as the door handle turned slowly, the soft creak of the wood breaking the silence. As the door opened, Rem stepped into the room. She paused in the doorway, her blue eyes widening slightly in surprise when she saw him standing by the window.

But her initial shock quickly melted into something gentler. A soft smile graced her lips, her eyes misting with unshed tears. For a moment, she simply stood there, taking him in, as if confirming that he was really there-alive, safe, and whole.

[Rem]: "Good morning... Y/N-kun."

Rem greeted him, her voice thick with emotion, though she fought to keep it steady.

Y/N turned fully to face her, his own smile warm and reassuring.

[Y/N]: "Good morning, Rem."

He replied softly, his voice gentle, yet full of a warmth that seemed to melt away any lingering tension. His smile seemed to have the same effect on Rem, who blinked back her tears, though they still glistened in her eyes.

Y/N took a step back from the window, crossing the room to sit on the edge of the bed. As he settled himself down, Rem walked toward the same window he had been leaning against just moments before. She paused, gazing out into the courtyard as he had, her back to him as she took in the tranquil morning.
