The bandits turned at once, eyes narrowing in recognition. Rachins' face twisted into an ugly snarl as he remembered their humiliating defeat the first time they tried to rob Y/N.

[Rachins]: “You!”

Rachins growled, pointing his knife toward him.

[Rachins]: “You got lucky last time, but this time—"

[Y/N]: “Yeah, yeah, save the monologue,”

Y/N cut him off, waving his hand dismissively.

[Y/N]: “I’ve heard it all before. You’re angry, you’re going to teach me a lesson, blah, blah, blah. Honestly, it’s getting old.”

His sarcasm only served to infuriate the trio further. Rachins looked like he was about to explode with rage, while Gastom and Kamberley exchanged a glance, clearly debating whether to attack him or finish what they started with the girl.

The girl, on the other hand, regarded Y/N with a curious look, her fiery crimson red eyes scanning him up and down. She hadn't seen Y/N before, but his confident demeanor and ability to casually insult her assailants intrigued her. Not that she would admit it, of course.

[???]: “Hmph. This situation grows tiresome. Are you here to deal with these insects, or do you intend to bore me with their empty threats?”

She asked, folding her arms with a haughty expression.

Y/N chuckled at her attitude but didn’t take his eyes off the bandits.

[Y/N]: “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”

Without warning, Rachins lunged at Y/N, aiming his knife for a quick strike. But Y/N had been waiting for this. In a swift, fluid motion, he sidestepped the attack and, with a simple flick of his wrist, summoned a burst of energy from Yshra, his spirit companion. A golden flash enveloped his hand, and in one swift strike, he disarmed Rachins, sending the knife clattering to the ground.

Before Rachins could react, Y/N followed up with a sharp kick to his midsection, sending him crashing into the alley wall with a grunt of pain. Kamberley and Gastom hesitated for a moment, clearly surprised by the speed and power Y/N now wielded, but they weren't smart enough to retreat just yet.

[Kamberley]: “You’re gonna regret this!”

Kamberley shouted, charging forward, his knife aimed for Y/N’s throat.

Y/N didn’t even flinch. As Kamberley closed the distance, Y/N whispered a quick command to Yshra, and the spirit responded instantly. A shield of golden energy appeared in front of Y/N, stopping Kamberley’s knife in its tracks. With a quick flick of his hand, Y/N dispelled the shield, grabbing Kamberley’s wrist and twisting it painfully, forcing the bandit to drop his weapon.
