Waking up with a terrible headache was never fun, but those were the consequences one had to pay if they chose to drink heavily for over six hours the night before. Tara barely managed to get herself to sit up straight due to her head pounding so bad, she thought she was dying.
"Fuck me," Tara heard Amber groan next to her and looked at the ravenette, eyes widening when she saw her fully naked next to her in HER bed. Amber, who finally managed to get her eyes open, had a similar reaction to Tara's. "Well, fuck me twice on Sunday. Did we-?"
Tara shook her head, "We didn't, I don't think. I would've remembered it."
The raven head nodded, exhaling slowly as she tried to process waking up next to her naked ex. She remembered what happened the night prior, their dancing together and them getting into bed together, she was just trying to understand why neither of the two of them decided to put some shorts and a tank top on before going to sleep, or why they didn't just sleep in the clothes they went out in. It would've been better than waking up naked in bed together."I, um, I'm gonna make some breakfast and get us both an Advil and water." Tara said after they sat quietly. "If you need clothes, feel free to go through my closet and grab whatever."
The ravenette nodded, watching as the short haired cop grabbed a pair of shorts and a sports bra out of her dresser, putting them on and heading out of the room. Contemplating her life choices, she fell back onto the bed, face hidden behind her hands, and groaned, cursing herself out for getting into this situation to begin with. She remembered more and more of the events last night, remembering how they nearly kissed in front of their friends and girlfriends, and how for a good number of songs, they would grind or twerk on each other. Sure, she could blame it on the alcohol if she wanted to, but Amber knew herself well enough to know that it wasn't just the alcohol that was the reason why she did what she did last night. Her phone rang, and the ravenette rummaged through the clothes that were on the side of the bed as looked for it. It was a text from her parents, wishing her a Happy New Year and saying how they hoped she had a great night and that Jade and them miss her lots. Amber smiled softly, shooting them a quick text back that said she missed them too and wished them a Happy New Year back, and then looked through her other texts. The majority of them were from the group chat that she had with Quinn, Liv, Anika, the twins and Tara, which was currently filled with texts about how badly of a headache they had and swearing to never drink like that ever again, along with many photos taken from the night before. She took a quick look through the photos, saving them in her phone, and then swiped out of the chat, seeing that her girlfriend had sent her a few texts as well. The ravenette swallowed thickly, already having an idea of what those texts were going to look like.
Instead of opening the chat and reading the said texts, Amber closed her phone and got out of bed, going over to Tara's closet to look for some clothes. She figured she'd shower at home, not wanting to burden Tara with asking where she can find a towel, plus, after the night they had, Amber would need a head to toe shower, which wouldn't be possible to do at Tara's apartment. As she looked through the closet, the raven head found a familiar hoodie and pulled it out, her heart skipping a beat when she recognized what hoodie it was. Her curiosity peaked and she kept looking through the closet, finding more and more of her shirts and hoodies that she gave Tara when they were still together. It shocked the ravenette that her ex would still have her clothes, but if it brought her some sort of comfort or closure post their breakup, then so be it. Besides, she couldn't exactly think negatively as she herself had a number of Tara's clothes in her own closet.
Deciding to just throw on a random t-shirt and some sweatpants of Tara's, Amber neatly put everything back and headed downstairs, smelling the toast and eggs that the cop was cooking downstairs. The older woman was humming along to a song by Reneé Rapp, which Amber was quick to recognize as Not My Fault. She was currently making some coffee for the both of them, and the ravenette sat down quietly at the kitchen island, admiring the woman. While Tara had her back turned to Amber, the young woman noticed a number of scars on the other's body, most of which she knew did not come from the gunshots two months ago. She also noticed a tattoo on the back of Tara's left arm, which made her wonder how she hadn't noticed it before. It was a tattoo of a bouquet of different flowers, each undoubtedly signifying something special to the twenty three year old. Amber saw a couple more tattoos as well, but before she could really make out what they were, Tara turned around, two mugs in both her hands.
