Tara stood leaning against a wall with a cigarette in between her hand and mouth, patiently waiting for the woman to show up. She wasn't known to be late, it was simply just that Tara liked to show up earlier than instructed, and obviously so that she could do a quick search of the area just in case of anything. The conversation she had with Amber happened about six hours ago, and though it pained her, this wasn't the time or the place to feel sad about something like this. If Amber didn't want to stand by and watch her go through with this, that was okay. Her career was dangerous and it wasn't for everyone, which was okay. Besides, maybe her and Amber just weren't meant to be in each other's lives, especially not as a couple. The cold wind blew against her skin, a shiver sent down her spine, waking her up. She watched as a car pulled up, the bright headlights causing her to squint slightly, and she knew it was go time now. Garza and Kirby were somewhere nearby, watching her, but everything else was entirely on her. The only thing she had on her was just a simple listening piece for Garza, but even that would soon be gone to avoid suspicion of foul play.

Two women got out of the car, and Tara took a hit of her cigarette, blowing out the smoke slowly. She had an idea of who the other woman might've been, but that wasn't the most important thing as of right now.
"Escorpión, long time no see." Abril said with a smile on her face, her thick accent prominent. "Thank you for coming out here tonight. I wish there was a time better than now, but this is urgent and I would like to avoid too many eyes and ears around."
Tara nodded, feigning understanding, "I get it, no need to worry. What can I do for you?"
"Still straight to the point, aren't you?" Abril chuckled, her hand running through the strand of hair not covered by Tara's bandana. "I need you to keep me updated with Ripley's locations and find out where he's hiding. Every single location we've looked at so far has led to dead ends. He needs to be found, and I know you can do that. I also need to get FBI's intel, as I strongly believe they're keeping him in protective custody."

"Abril!" The other woman said, her tone firm. "We've been over this, you're sending yourself on a suicide mission the moment you mess with the FBI!"
The cartel leader rolled her eyes, uninterested, "I couldn't care less, Daylin. I will get that intel one way or another. And you're gonna help me do it."
Her eyes were dark, the true evil this woman possessed ever so present. Tara swallowed, spotting the switch blade held in her left hand, showing who she is and what she can do. The sergeant's breathing was slow and steady, yet she could feel her heartbeat racing, ready to rip out of her chest at any moment. She looked at Daylin, who was shocked by Abril's words, though very much tired of hearing them. It was easy to tell that this wasn't the first time Abril had brought up the FBI or her desire to get intel from them. Yet still, Tara couldn't figure out who this other woman was, a right hand or a girlfriend?

Noticing the woman's eyes, clearly waiting for an answer, Tara released a breath and smiled devilishly, nodding slowly in agreement. Abril's eyes seemed to lighten and she put the knife back in her pocket, declaring peace in her own way, at least for now. This was where the young sergeant knew she'd have to tread carefully, as the cartel leader was a woman of surprise, never letting anyone know her next move. She'd kill you quicker than you'd ever know, especially if you slipped up or did her dirty.
"Very well, then, I suppose we're done here." Abril said, turning away and starting to walk back, though she suddenly stopped, and Tara knew why. A sound of heels clacking came from behind them, and it was worrisome for the sergeant. Did she miss something because her mind was elsewhere? Was there another person Abril called that Tara wasn't made aware of?

But, when Abril turned around with a gun in her hand, it was clear that she did not call another to cover her. Tara, confused and worried, took a step forward and turned around, her eyes widening in shock as she saw who formed the sound of the heels.
"You can put the gun down, now." Kirby said, and Tara was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. "Isa, babe, you didn't tell me that this would take this long. I'm tired, can't we just go home now?"
The sergeant furrowed her brows, but went along with it as there was no other way around this.
"I thought I told you to wait in the car? Can't you see I'm in the middle of something important? All you had to do was sit in the fucking car and wait." She wasn't sure what name Kirby was going with, so she avoided it entirely, and acting like a gangbanger with her was something that would clarify it for Abril that Tara was just like her.
