Star Law: A Marshal Cole Series

Introduction

A murder in a locked room.

Sounds like the perfect mystery, right? Now imagine it takes place aboard a star passenger liner that is halfway to a final destination on the very frontier.

Fortunately for the crew and passengers of the Niagara Marshal Garner Cole is aboard to investigate the crime. He is a bit battered and bruised from his last arrest and faces challenges from a doubtful captain and a hostile security chief but he's on the job nonetheless.

To add to the challenge, the ship is more or less out of touch communications-wise with the rest of the Commonwealth. The Dark Adder Cloud surrounding the planet Hawks means the ship must slow to sub-light speed. This leaves seven days to solve the crime.

Also aboard the ship is a 12 year old girl just shy of her 13th birthday. Orion Ruskovich is a stowaway but far from helpless. In fact, she might be the most dangerous person on the ship.

As the bodies pile and the evidence remains scant, the Marshal suspects there is more to this than anyone thought possible or conceivable.
