He Gets Drunk

It had been a month since Bakugou returned from the USA, and things between you two had only gotten worse.

Once, you had been inseparable, sharing every little moment together, laughing until your stomachs ached, and comforting each other through every struggle. But now? It felt like you were living with a stranger.

He had become cold, distant, and despite all your efforts to reconnect, Bakugou kept shutting you out.

You had tried everything you could think of, leaving him space, offering support, and even simply waiting for him to come to you.

But no matter what you did, he never opened up. It hurt more than anything, especially when he seemed to be getting further away with each passing day. You couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was wrong, but he refused to talk to you about it.

The distance between you was suffocating.

Days turned into weeks, and the emptiness of your apartment, once filled with his laughter and love, only reminded you of how far apart you had grown. You would spend nights alone in bed, KEM curled up at your side, and would stare at the space beside you, wishing he would just come back to you, to the way things were before everything changed.

You tried to be patient. He had always been stubborn and guarded, but this... this was different. A month had passed, and he hadn't given you so much as a hint of what was on his mind. Still, a small part of you refused to give up. You clung to the hope that the Bakugou you knew, the man you loved, was still in there somewhere.

Until tonight.

Bakugou hadn't come home.

KEM, sensing your distress, had been by your side all night, his head resting on your lap as you sat on the couch, staring blankly at the clock. Midnight turned into dawn, and there was still no sign of him. Your calls went unanswered, your texts unread.

The clock ticked into the early hours of the morning. You sat on the couch, mindlessly scrolling through your phone, waiting for a sign. Any sign, that he would return.

But nothing came.

It wasn't until nearly 7 AM that you heard the sound of the door unlocking. You sat up quickly, heart racing, praying that it was him. The door creaked open, and there he was.

Bakugou, but something was different. His usual fire, the intensity in his eyes, was missing. Instead, his movements were sluggish, his eyes half-lidded and unfocused. Kirishima and Kaminari, standing by his side, were holding him up between them.

You blinked, unsure whether you were still dreaming. "Eijiro? Denki?" you said, your voice shaky. "What... What's going on?"

Kaminari gave a forced grin, his usual carefree demeanor faltering. "Hey, Y/N, sorry about this. We just got back from a reunion, and, uh, well..." He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Bakugou had a bit too much to drink. We tried to stop him, but you know how he is..."

You could barely look at them as they helped Bakugou inside. His presence was so heavy with tension, but his disoriented expression made it worse. He didn't seem to care at all that you were there, his gaze unfocused and hazy.

It was like he wasn't even present.

You could feel your chest tightening as you stood in the doorway. "A reunion?" You repeated, still processing what they were saying. "He didn't even tell me about it."

Kirishima, as always, looked apologetic. "Yeah, we just kind of decided to hang out, you know? He didn't tell you, huh? Well, anyway... We'll leave you to it." He waved, giving a thumbs-up. "Just keep an eye on him, okay?"
