HAZEL

The arms of the clock hit the five and the alarm rang, quickly I switched it off.

It was five in the morning. The night went by but the sleep never came.

Tossing and turning the whole night, I saw James, Amy, Rigs, and Ezar passed out on the couches of the office, here in the warehouse after the party last night.

Slowly I walked into the corridor, not waking them up, only to find everyone else in the compound area sleeping like dead.

I walked through the stairs towards the roof, to breathe some fresh air, and sat on the edge.

Even though I'm back home I still feel a void inside me.

"He is not here," a voice inside me said.

"I wish he was"

Taking a deep breath I looked down at the city of Angel lighted up, like always.

All the deals of the dark area take place at this hour hidden from the daylight.

Cold air swirled through my hair, brushing my skin, and burning all the exposed scars.

I felt alive, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

That is how they will perceive me when I'll burn their kingdoms with my bare hands.

I will burn them to fucking ashes.

The same flames that took everything from me will give me back what was mine.

Mine.

Everything.

I. Will. Take. Everything. From. Them.

Starting with today.

"Good morning! Wake up! Come on get your asses up!" I shouted at Everyone sleeping dead in the office.

"What the fuck Gray!" Rigs hissed, and moved James off the couch, realizing how they ended up on the same couch.

"What the fuck bro!" James growled in pain.

"It's only six in the morning!" Amy fought back, while Ezar, who had already up, passed me a cup of coffee.

"Get everyone in the compound up too," I told Ezar.

He nodded and walked out.

It felt good coming in command again.

Hiding my smirk, I looked at their faces silently cursing me.

"Get your asses up, go to your respective rooms, wash up and meet me here again, we'll have our first meeting, cool with you guys?" I commanded, leaving no room for argument.

"I hate here" I heard James whispering while leaving the office, Amy and Rigs followed him.

"Let me take you to your room," Ezar said, standing behind me, laughing and seeing their annoyed faces.

I nodded, holding my laugh too.

I took a quick but refreshing cold shower in one of the rooms of the quarters for the guards, remembering the days I got my training in a warehouse, like this one.

I changed into clothes that Rosey, one of the girls left for me and walked back into to compound.

The party environment changed into tough training, every one of them was working hard, but had a smile on their face, they were happy here.

As I walked through the compound towards the office, everyone greeted me with utter respect.

"Everyone's here?" I asked Ezar who was standing at the door.
