A few hours later Ludwig knocked lightly on his brother's door, intending to drop off the laundry he neglected to complete.
As usual, his knocking was met with no reply. Ludwig groaned and knocked again.
"Gilbert, I'm vorried about jou. Please let me in."
When he still didn't get a reply, he pushed the door open.
His older brother was sitting at his desk, hunched over with his head in his arms. His eyes were closed lightly and they leaked tears gradually.
"Bruder?" The blonde tapped his sibling's shoulder, revealing the red colour of those familiar eyes. They didn't hold the usual spark of life, however. Something was definitely off about him.
"Mnm?" He sniffled, wiping his nose.
"Bruder. Please tell me vhat's wrong." Ludwig begged.
"I-" he looked down at his hands. "I have a funeral to go to on Sunday. C-could you drive me zhere?"
Ludwig didn't really know what to say. Who had his older brother lost? What was going on?
"J-ja. I'll take jou."
"Danke bruder.." He murmured.
