I woke up with Megan now wrapped around her body pillow and looked at the time which read 2pm
I decided to take a shower and then go into my work studio and work a bit
I kissed Megan as I got out of the bed and then got in the shower
Once done I did my hygiene and skin routine
Once dressed I checked on Megan again and then went and made her a light snack for when she wakes up and left her a little note of where I would be once she awakes
I then head down the hall to my studio
I had been in my studio working away for about a good hour and some minutes until I stopped to think why Megan hasn't come in here yet
I then left out walking back down the hall to our bedroom to check to see if she was still asleep
When I walked in I didn't see her on the bed and so I walked into the bathroom
When I walked in I seen her sitting on the floor by the toilet crying
Me-Oh baby(I hurried and picked her up and carried her back over to the bed and sat her down)
Megan-I thought I was finally able to keep it down but soon as I got up to use the bathroom I got extremely nauseous and had to throw up (crying)it hurts so bad when I do
Me-I know baby (cleaning her face with some facial wipes)
Go brush your teeth and let's go see Dr. Marie and see what she can help you with ok (kisses her forehead)
Megan-(Shakes her head yes) Ok
I then put her on a different shirt and her shoes on since she already had on shorts
And then I threw on some clothes while she brushed her teeth and then took her hand and grabbed my purse and keys and headed out the door
We make it to Dr. Marie office who I called ahead of time while in the car
I parked, got out, went to open Megan's door helping her out and then locked the car and went inside
Once inside we were greeted by the nurse of Dr. Marie
Nurse-Hello my favorite couple
Me+Megan-Hello
Nurse-Well Dr. Marie is expecting you two so follow me
We followed her to the back into one of the exam rooms
Nurse-Ok she will be right in
Is there anything I can get for either of you
Me-No thank you, We are ok(helping Megan to sit on the exam table)
Nurse-No problem, And as I said she will be right-
Before she could finish Dr. Marie walks in
Dr. Marie-Well hello my favorite people to see
Me+Megan-Hello
Dr. Marie- Well what brings you ladies in today
Me-Well my beautiful Wife here has been having trouble keeping food down
The only thing she doesn't throw up is Apple juice, Peppermint tea, Jello, And popsicles
And so she's not holding any weight, And has no energy, And when she vomits it's very violent and painful
Dr. Marie- Ok, Let me do a quick check up on you and then we can see how to help you from there ok Megan
Megan-Ok
Dr. Marie-Ok first we gonna run some tests and check your stomach, Then we will test your blood and sugar levels, Then ultrasound, And throat ok
Megan-Ok
Dr. Marie-Any fevers or night chills, Trouble sleeping
Megan-No
Dr. Marie-Do you constantly feel dehydrated and restless
Megan-No
Dr. Marie-Ok, Lay back for me
(Megan lays back as Dr. Marie lifts her shirt)
Ok, Any stomach pain (begins to gently press on Megan's stomach)
Megan-Yes, It comes and goes though
But I really have it after vomiting
Dr. Marie-Hmm, Ok let me know if this hurts (starts to press on her lower abdomen)
Megan-(Winces) Yes, Very much
Dr. Marie-Ok, Give me a second (grabs the ultrasound machine and puts the gel on Megan's stomach and begins to look around)
Me-Is there something wrong Dr. Marie
Dr. Marie-There's no real panic but I want to get a better look so I'm gonna get you set up in the MRI room because I think your intestines might be inflamed
Megan-Is that bad
Dr. Marie-Sometimes yes and sometimes no which is why we are doing the MRI
Me-Will that hurt her or the baby
Dr. Marie-No, Just like with an Xray she will have a protective cover on
Me-Ok, (looks at Megan) Baby do you want me to come with you
Megan-(Tears up) Yes please
Me-(Goes to hug her and give her a kiss)
Everything is going to be ok beautiful, Don't cry (wipes her tears)I love you
Megan-(Sniffs) I love you too
Dr. Marie-Ok let's get you to the MRI
I then helped her clean the gel off her stomach and slowly sit up and slowly stand and helped her to sit in the wheelchair and begin pushing her following Dr. Marie to the MRI room
The MRI was fast and quick and we were back in the exam room with me helping Megan back up on the exam table
The nurse then came and took her blood, Checked her sugar levels, Examined her throat taking swabs, And doing a scope after numbing her throat which showed nothing out of the ordinary, And the throat swabs were negative for anything
Her blood test was negative for anything, And her sugar levels were normal
Then the nurse took her blood pressure which was slightly high because of her anxiety
Soon everything was done and Dr. Marie came back in
Dr. Marie-Ok, So I was correct and your intestines are inflamed but it's no cause for alarm
It's only because you have developed a form of acid reflux which is why it hurts and burns when you vomit, And also why you can't keep any food down
And so I'm prescribing you some medication that you need to take once a day for your acid reflux and some liquid medication you need to take twice a day for the inflammation in your intestines
Me-Will either of these effect the baby
Dr. Marie-No because they are not narcotic's and have no heavy ingredients
Me-Ok, So will she be able to eat normal
Dr. Marie-For the first two days no because it has to really get in her system so I would suggest light food like crackers and chicken broth
And you can add noodles which she will be able to tolerate because they have salt in them and will curve the nausea
But afterwards, Yes she will be able to eat anything and be fine
Now here's the prescriptions (hands it to Megan) And you can pick it right up at the pharmacy downstairs
Megan-Thank you so much Dr. Marie
Dr. Marie- My pleasure, Now take care of yourself, And I will see you & the little one (touches Megan's stomach) in a few months ok
Megan-Ok, And I will
I then help Megan down and we left going downstairs to the pharmacy to get her prescriptions filled
Once done we headed back home and I immediately gave her her first doses of the medications and then went and fixed what Dr. Marie told me to fix and surprisingly it worked and stayed down
After us eating I gave Megan a nice full body massage and then put her in a nice bath
After I oiled her skin and put her on just a big T-shirt and tucked her in bed
Me-I want you to get some rest ok
Megan-Ok but where are you going
Me-To my studio to finish what I was working on earlier
Megan-Ok baby(yawns)
Me-Aw my baby tired huh(kisses her)
Megan-Mmhmm very tired (closes her eyes)
Me-Ok get some sleep baby, I love you (kisses her forehead)
Megan-I love you too (drifts off to sleep)
I then kissed her forehead again and just smiled
Me-My perfect Angel
I then left out closing the door and headed back into my work studio
