"Okay, all the gifts are packed in the blue suitcase. My clothes are in the black suitcase. And my carry on is sitting by the door." Lydia said making sure everything was packed.

"Lyds, breathe." Blake said walking over to her and placing his hands on her shoulders.

"I just want to make sure we have everything. You packed right?" She asked him.

"Yes. I already packed. Our flight is tomorrow afternoon, you gotta calm down. It's not like you've never met my family." He said sitting down on their bed.

"This is different. I had dinner with you and them a few times, this is Christmas. It's more than just your sister and parents. We're talkin cousins and aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. Not to mention, this." She said holding up her left hand, showing the ring on her finger. "This is more than likely going to be the only thing I'll talk about and-"

"Okay, stop." He said pulling her down next to him on the bed. "Deep breath, now." She nodded taking a few deep breaths calming down. "They'll talk to you about other things. That will be the main conversation topic at the beginning but later on we'll move past that. But you have got to calm down before you drive yourself mad."

"Okay, you're right."

"Hey, you think if we tell the airport that we just got engaged they'll give us upgrades for free?" Blake joked and Lydia lightly laugh.

"We can try."

It worked. They got first class seats.

Soon the plane landed in Tennessee and the couple went to baggage claim. Once they got their bags they walked out to meet Blake's mom at the pickup. "Lydia." His mom, Adele, said rushing over to hug the girl, ignoring her son.

"Hi mom, good to see you too." Blake said sarcastically as he put the bags in the back.

"Oh, hush." She told her son as she pulled away from the huh with Lydia. "Lemme see." Lydia held up her hand showing the ring and Adele's eyes lit up. "That's so pretty."

"Thank you." Blake said walking over to the two. "Picked it out all by myself."

"You face timed Niki when you were ring shopping. She told me." Lydia turned to him.

"She owes me my twenty bucks back."

The three arrived at the house after the drive from the airport. Lydia was greeted with a bunch of hugs and most of the family inspecting her left hand, Blake was left with the bags until his cousin came out to help him. They sat in the living room talking amongst themselves, Blake sitting next to Lydia on the couch as she leaned on him.

"Okay, we have to hear the story. Blake refused to tell us, but we need to hear it." Blake's aunt said.

Blake was nervous as ever, he wasn't even this nervous when he asked Lydia out for the first time. Obviously it was a complete different situation where he knew her feelings, but he was still a little nervous when he asked.

They were sat in the trunk of his car as they ate and watched a movie on his laptop. It was a small date he had set up for the two of them. Their backs were leaned against the second row seats and they ate pizza as they watched a Spider-Man movie. "Say what you will, Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man and I will die on that hill." Lydia said engrossed in the movie.

"Okay, but Tobey Maguire is more iconic." Blake countered as his hand fiddled with the velvet box in his pocket.

"Just cause he was the first doesn't mean he's more iconic." Lydia rolled her eyes as the movie ended. They began to clean up and climbed out from the trunk. Blake took a deep breath, 'now or never'. He thought to himself as he stood behind her. He knelt down on one knee waiting for her to turn around. "And, Andrew was much more sarcastic which played more in his favor because Spider-Man has always been sarcastic and poked jokes when he fought." Lydia adds to her argument before she turns around and notices him. Her eyes widen as she stands there frozen.

"I didn't plan a speech so I figured I would just wing it, and here goes nothing. Lydia, we met when Schlatt was doing one of his stupid videos but I'm sure as hell glad he invited you. I think the real moment I decided you were the woman I want to marry was in New York. I'm not the best at singing, we both know I'm much better at rapping than singing. But you somehow managed to get me to drunkenly sing in the karaoke room, and a Disney song nonetheless. And even when you were hungover the next morning you were still the prettiest woman I've ever seen. We've had our ups and downs, our crazy's and normals, but I'm glad we stuck it out. So, Lydia Eloise Woodly, will you marry me?" Blake said, trying to get everything out before he second guessed himself.

Lydia didn't say anything, she couldn't think of anything to say, god she could barely think at all. She tackled him in a hug, he caught her and wrapped his arms around her. She mumbled a small yes into his shoulder as she clung to him.

Blake smiled as he hugged her back, he felt like he could breathe again after hearing her say yes. He felt like he was on cloud nine in this moment, and there was nothing that could bring him down.
