After hearing Dipanshi's question, Rishi is lost in his thoughts. He is trying to find where the fault is for her insecurity. They both are having a great time with each other; the little bickering, teasing and emotional support is all what a healthy relationship should have, then, where the question of forced marriage arises.
The more time Rishi takes, the more helpless she feels. Feeling detached, she tries to break free her hands from his grasp but his hold tightens. Her eyes drop to their joined hands and helplessly, she says, "Hum chahe toh ala......"
"Ruko Ruko.... Ek second...... Aage mat bolna, warna mai kuchh aisa kar dunga ki tumhe pasand nahi aayega." He exhales deeply, his eyes softened and his voice firm but gentle, "Haan, I marry you because my parents wanted to but that's what I always want."
He caresses her right cheek and says, "It's going to be a long talk, Dipanshi. Let's have dinner first, and then we'll discuss it freely."
How easy it is to say 'let's talk later,' but what about her situation, where her heart is in her mouth? The promise of an explanation adds more fuel to the anxiety she was having for the past few days. As they sit down for dinner, the result of future outcomes is almost unbearable. The atmosphere is thick with unspoken tension; or it is just Dipanshi's inner storm. Rishi is calm but he can sense the weight of her distress and is determined to address it. He knows there must be someone or something which leads to this situation.
When Rishi doesn't say anything during dinner and leaves without a word, she becomes even more depressed. She feels as though he's going to ignore her question again, which eventually reignites her feelings of hatred towards him.
When she enters the room, Rishi is walking to and fro in the room, looking tense. Hearing the sound of the door opening, helooks at her taking her hand, he guides her to the bed. He sits opposite of her with his right leg folded on the bed. He is looking at everything but her, trying to figure out how to explain it to her.
Seeing Rishi so muddleheaded, Dipanshi says softly, "Sir, aapko jyada sochne ki jarurat nahi hai. I know, it's hard to marry me. I..."
"Keep Quiet" he ordered like he does usually everytime in college. When she speaks she is looking downward and seeing him suddenly provoked for nothing, she casts him a look. Why is it impossible to learn this person, at one moment he is confused and at another aggressive.
