The tallest building in the world is in the rich city of Dubai in the Middle East. Burj Khalifa, the tallest building, is 2,717 feet tall and cost $1.5 billion to build. During the construction, three out of the 12,000 workers died. The Burj Khalifa has 164 floors and 54 elevators, and the amount of concrete on the building is equivalent to the weight of 100,000 elephants! The Burj Khalifa was originally called the Burj Dubai, but in December 2009,  the construction projectstarted to go bankrupt. Ruler of Abu Dubai, Sheikh Khalifa, pulled it out of debt by providing $10 billion for the project. In his honor, the name was changed  to Burj Khalifa. The tallest building  is a true wonder and is a great sight to see if you ever get the chance.
