What were those 50,000 WORDS posters you saw last month? Every November, a contest called National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, is held. In this contest, participants attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. Four students have entered this year; our school’s first year participating in NaNoWriMo. Mrs.Sharma, who thought it would be a good activity for our school to condone, personally enters every year. In 2013, Mrs.Sharma hopesthat the school will allow her to continue this and that this contest will eventually become a school tradition. National Novel Writing Month is a great activity for future novelists and those looking for something fun and unique to do.
