Wolfram's P.O.V

Someone wakes me from my dreamless sleep, by shaking my arm. Thinking that it's just my imagination, I ignore it. It could be the possessors for all I know, so I think the best thing to do is to ignore it.

The shaking of my arm however doesn't stop. Now that I am more into the realm of awareness, I can recognise the feel of a small hand. It's as if it's trying to wake me up. "Please be a person. Please be a person."

I slowly open my eyes to see the person. It's dark and very early in the morning. The sun is ages away from rising so who could be awake at this time of the morning?

When my eyes focus and register the area of my bed chamber, they widen to who I see. It's Greta. What is she doing here at this time of the night?

I sit up and look to her "Princess?"

"Lady Miyuki" she sounds sleepy. Did she have a nightmare?

"Princess, what are you doing here at this time of the night?" I ask in a soft whisper. I don't like this. Something doesn't feel right.

I pat the side of the bed so she can sit down comfortable. She jumps up and sits on the appointed spot, which relaxes me a little to know that she is comfortable with being around me.

Once she's comfortable, I ask her again "Princess, why are you here at this time of the night? Did something happen?" I make sure to whisper in respect of everyone who is still asleep.

Greta looks down to the sheets "I was going to bed when I saw something run past the door. The door was open slightly but I didn't see what it was exactly. I ran to the door, making sure not to wake up Yuri and opened the door to see the hallway. When I looked to the left I saw something dark running around the corner and so I quietly followed it."

Why did she follow it? She has no idea what that was. It could have been the possessors. My eyes widen to that, if she saw it near Yuri's bedroom then it must have been watching them. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I keep my lips sealed and let her continue.

"I followed it until I saw it run through this room. I tiptoed to the door and walked to the bed to see that you were sleeping in the bed. When I couldn't see the shadow any more, I tried to wake you up to see if you were okay, because I thought that what I saw was the thing that caused you those marks on your wrists." She explains quietly.

She walked all the way here from Yuri's room? In the dark? Not knowing the danger that she was putting herself in, just to see if I was okay? Tears glass over my eyes to see how much she cares. I can't cry in front of her, as it will only make her worry, so I just push my tears away.

I smile, although she might not be able to see it "thank you Princess, but I am okay. You shouldn't have wandered through the night alone, it could have been dangerous."

She sighs "I'm sorry, I just wanted to make sure that you were alright." She looks up from the sheets "what's that?"

I follow her gaze to see that she's staring at the necklace. The stone glows in the dark. No wonder she saw it. Damn it. Thinking of an excuse, I place the wings in my palm and lean down to her "this is a special gift from my family. I was given this when I was younger and now it's something that I treasure."

Her eyes show mesmerising from the glow of the stone. I can tell that she's fascinated, as was I when I first saw it activated.

Greta leans a hand out to place it in her palm so she can get a closer look. I lean forward and she smiles "it's so beautiful."

I smile back to her "yes it is." Then realising that she shouldn't be here this late at night, I lean back and climb out bed. I put on a robe and hold out a hand to her "now, Princess, let's get back you back to your father's bed chamber before you catch a cold."
