"Tracy wasn't just having trouble sleeping, it was a real condition. She was having night terrors." Lydia informed as they stood in the school parking lot, circling Stile's jeep.
"Well, now she's the night terror, considering no one can find her." Stiles grumbled.
"Okay, I know were all tired and miserable-" Scott paused, turning to a wide eyed Mason, who seemed to keep soaking in every word. "Except for you."
"Oh, I'm sorry. This is all just mind blowing." Mason said excitedly, pointing at Kira. "I mean, you're a kitsune! I don't even know what that is!"
Kira smiled awkwardly and nodded. "I'm still learning."
"Liam, we said you could tell him, not invite him to the inner circle." Stiles groaned, already growing tired of the new addition.
"I-I'm in the middle circle?" The awestruck sophomore asked, eyes wide.
"No!"
"Guys, back to Tracy." Scott sighed. "She's just a lone wolf, we can find her."
"One lone, serial killing wolf."
"Well, she only killed one person. The other two were mauled" Stiles pointed out. "What do we do when we catch her?"
"I say we put her down." Malia suggested, earning stares from the pack, while Mason nodded.
"Intense."
"Guys let's concentrate on catching her first. We'll figure out the rest later." Scott said.
"Now that that's settled, next order of business." Stiles pulled a stack of papers from his bag, slamming it down on the hood of his jeep.
"What's that?" Lydia asked warily, glancing at the thick pile.
"I did a little research-"
"A little?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow. Stiles just glared at him before continuing.
"Anyways, I did a little research online and in the bestiary, varying from resurrection to doppelgängers." Stiles flipped through the papers. "I realized that resurrection might be a bit of a stretch, but listen to this: In fiction and folklore, a doppelgänger is a look-alike or double of a living person, sometimes portrayed as a paranormal phenomenon, and in some traditions as a harbinger of bad luck. In other traditions and stories, they recognize your 'double-goer' as an evil twin."
"You seriously believe Claire's evil? Look at her." The group turned to see the girl in question getting out of her car, stopping to stare at the high school uneasily before muttering something to herself. "She's harmless."
"Matt seemed harmless, and who was right about him being evil?" Stiles asked, waving his hands around. "Oh yeah, me! Hey, Scott? Where are you going?" He yelled after his best friend's retreating figure, who was heading towards Claire, despite Stile's accusations.
"Hey." He said, making her jump slightly as he appeared at her side. "What's up?"
"Hi." She greeted, sucking in a deep breath. "Trying to work up the courage to actually go inside. People skip the first week all the time, right?"
"It can't be that bad." He said, giving her a supportive smile.
"I'm just not used to all the attention. It's like, everyone is watching me." Claire sighed, glancing over his shoulder. "Kinda like your friends are."
Scott whipped his head back to see his pack turn abruptly, attempting to look like they weren't just staring at the two. "I'm so sorry for them, they-"
