Abaeze could do naught but look on as Garry bowed before Princess Kysha, but the princess looked less than impressed by his pleas. Her Aggron began to glow as she lowered her hand.
"My sister is the only reason you did not get sent back the way you came. Anyone who would abuse the kindness she gave them and tarnish her legacy...
I swear by the Commander that there is no person, no place, on this world or any other, that will save them from me."
A flash of light spilled into the area, everything fell to quiet. The only thing that cut through the stillness was a single sigh. When the light faded Abaeze looked to see what happened. When he saw the end result, he took a sigh of relief.
Her Aggron had reverted back to its normal form, and Garry was thankfully unscathed. Garry looked up, happy to see a confrontation didn't come from his pleading. Though this didn't mean either of them would come out of this without judgement.
"I'm willing to give you and your friends a pardon, MaMa has made many contributions so I will give her this gift to her daughter. However, you must do something for me."
Sceptile eventually let go of Abaeze, the trainer quickly running between Garry and Kysha before looking at the member of royalty. He was unsure what the condition might be, it wouldn't be easy with someone like her.
"And what's that exactly?"
"There is something in Team Nerve's possession which you must retrieve. A precious jewel that should not be in the hands of anyone, let alone Tyronah. The Fang of Chaos.
If you can give this to me, you prove your loyalty to Ijowa, and perhaps even show you are worthy to try and become champion. I am a patient woman, but Team Nerve is getting too confident. If you cannot give this to me soon, I will deal with you and Team Nerve personally. You have 10 days."
This was a tall order for anyone, let alone the likes of Abaeze. He's never even encountered Tyronah with his own eyes, and if it's assumed he has it then Abaeze wouldn't stand a chance taking it by force. It seemed like an impossible order, but trying to defy Kysha now may only serve to ruin the tiny chance Garry just afforded him. Kysha mounted herself upon her Aggron, when she got on it something fell onto the ground. She ordered her Aggron to make their leave. As they did Abaeze quickly turned back to Garry to see he had since risen, already coming to Abaeze to grasp him to make sure the young trainer was okay. It was a surprise for Abaeze but... he didn't seem to mind too much.
Abaeze took a few heavy breaths, it was a well needed moment of reprieve. He started to calm himself, though as he got a grasp onto his emotions he gained a lot of clarity of what he's done. Almost committing treason, almost assaulting another trainer, not to mention the destruction his battle with Jazmine caused... oh no, Jazmine. He struck her, with enough force to make her bleed, and just left her. He could feel the guilt like a vice on his heart, doing that to someone who gave him kindness and helped him throughout his journey. And of course Cherri, all of this spawned from him trying to give his own grievances and yet he practically shrugged Cherri off, and even still Cherri's father comes to his aid.
"I'm... I'm sorry! I was just so upset and- sniff"
Tears ran down Abaeze's face, an uncontrollable well of emotions being released as the weight of his actions dawned on him.
"I just... I just want to help everyone... but I'm just too..."
Garry kept Abaeze close as the latter cried into his fleece. He looked onward, seeing his Sceptile having caught something that was flowing in the wind. It brought it over to its trainer, Garry taking a gander at it. It was a photo. He quickly realised what it was, looking to where Kysha once was. Did she... leave this on purpose? He tucked it into one of his pockets, Abaeze pulled from the hug as Garry looked down at the boy. Abaeze never paid much attention to Garry's eyes, but they looked like they had been through their own experiences to last a lifetime. Abaeze remembered what Cherri had told him about his late mother, now in comparison his troubles seemed even less justifiable. Though Garry meanwhile was similarly worried about Abaeze. It never occurred to him that he never saw Abaeze's eyes, he was always wearing sunglasses ever since he first saw news of him. The red hues in his eyes were prominent, all this time has he...?
