Chapter 55: ONE SKILL AT A TIME

The scene picks up shortly after Endeavor told the quartet to get their suits on and head to the training room. The building had many, and the one they were currently in had standard walls and equipment.

Endeavor: You boys are now under my tutelage. Lightning, Deku, Bakugo, before we begin, tell me about yourselves. What are you currently capable of? What weaknesses do you need to improve upon?

Izuku: I want to perform t my fullest. But to do that, I'll need to gain better control of my power.

Endeavor: How interesting. Your quirk is so strong that it hurts you. Is that right?

Izuku: Yes. I've learned to control it enough that I don't usually injury myself. However... uh... Recently, there's, uh... this other thing. It's kinda like, uh... So, it's my power, but it's manifesting in a way I've never experienced before.

Katsuki was glaring him while being annoyed he's not getting to the point while at the same time, making sure he doesn't slip anything about One For All.

Endeavor: Show me.

Izuku: (creates a small black whip) If I concentrate, I can release the small amount I can handle. This is the most that I can manage for right now. If I'm not careful, then untamed energy explodes out of me.

Endeavor: What do you mean by performing to your fullest? Explain your power.

Izuku then explains how his new power feels like a whip, and even brings up his move, Air Force. He then begins to go into another rambling mode where the basics of it lower down to how he wants to be able to use his power while being able to free switch power outputs freely without major risk of bodily injury.

Burnin: He talks so much, I totally lost the thread.

Todoroki: Quite the self-analysis.

Arcturus: Yeah, it happens when he gets super passionate with quirks.

Katsuki: (growls) Shut up.

Arcturus: Settle down.

Surprisingly, Endeavor actually understood his rambling.

Endeavor: I see. At heart, you're saying that you want to be able to constantly adjust power levels when you're fighting?

Izuku: Yes!

Burning: You understood him? No wonder you're number one, sir!

Arcturus: That's actually impressive.

Endeavor: You've had trouble with your quirk. Trust me when I tell you you're not alone.

Izuku was confused by that as he turns his attention to Arc.

Endeavor: Lightning. What about you?

Arcturus: It's a similar thing with Izuku, but I want to use all of my abilities at balance.

Endeavor: At balance?

Arcturus: After the Camino Ward Incident, my quirk started changing and developing strange new skills. So far, I've been able to create chains that work like whips, cover my skin in diamond-like armor, and have even developed some form of telekinesis. However, whenever I use one of these abilities during combat, the rest of my skills become less effective and have even caused problems for my quirk.

Endeavor: What kind of problems?

Arcturus: For instance, when I use my Diamond more and more, my Speed-Force gets reduced, making me run slower. It's especially evident when I have to used both at the same time. And with my Limitless, the telekinesis skill, it requires total concentration for me to utilize, resulting in my other skills becoming sloppy and unfocused.
