Dear Diary,
I bought Susan a new bonnet with my Dad's money. I guess Michael, Mommy, Mrs. Jane, and Daddy are sleeping now. That's what Susan said. I went to school and learned how to speak french. It was hard, because Susan was crying the whole time. After I went home, Susan and I went to the train Tracks again. Susan pushed me onto the tracks but the train didn't get me because a man saved me. He took me to his house and locked me in his room. He did awful things to me. He said it was okay. I believed him.
Love,
Lucy Belle
Author's note: This is getting really real, and I'm sorry. I promise I'll tone it down!
