Dear Diary,
Today was a hard day for me. I tried talking to Bernard again, but he wasn't at his house. I went to a store and asked for some food, because I was all alone and didn't have money, but the man said no. I had to find Bernard. He is all I have now, and I might not even have him. I tried the train station, the Café, and even the old shopping center. As I went, I explored the town, because I was sure I was going to live here now. Then, I saw Bernard. He was buying a pain of shoes in "Margot's Soles". I ran to him and hugged him and I cried. I told him I was scared and sad and lonely. He said he was too. We ate lunch at the café with his dad's money.
Love,
Lucy Belle
