Lorrie-
I climb out of the truck when Connor decides to walk me to the door. My car sits in one piece in our garage. "Benny." I mutter to myself.
"I'll see you in class on Monday." Connor says heading back to his truck as I stand on my front porch.
"Connor."
"Yeah?"
"Thanks, for everything." I tell him, "No one's ever done anything like that for me." Not even my parents since I got my licence anyway.
"No problem." He answers with a smile before climbing into his truck and driving off.
I ring the doorbell when I remember Nikki. Crap. The dogs start barking and my brother quickly answers the door.
"Where have you been?" He asks worriedly. He's a bit stressed out to the point his hairs in a mess. He must be stressed, he runs his fingers through his hair constantly when he's worried or stressed.
"I left my phone in the glove compartment, like I always do." I tell him, "Why did you need the car?"
"The club meeting was canceled. I needed to head home."
"Did you tell mom? I called her, she thinks the car was stolen."
"I called her. About 15 minutes ago."
"Good, I called her about ten minutes ago, why didn't she tell me you had the car when I called? I would've called you to pick me up." He shrugs, no one knows with our mother, she's a bit strange.
"Did Johnny bring you home?" He asks, "I know you were at the track meet to meet up with him."
"Nope haven't seen him since school let out."
"Then who brought you home?" He asks.
"Connor Adams."
