What on earth, why is Patrick here. "Patrick," I whisper quietly as Lorrie and Connor work diligently on their science project. "Do you have the same assignment."
"Yeah." He answers just as softly. "How's yours going?"
"Let's just say it's going." I answer carefully not to mention names, "How about you?"
"Sounds like you're doing a heck of a lot better than me." He answers, Connor and Lorrie are both watching us curiously as they pause their science project. "Talk. Later."
"Same time same place?" I ask just to confirm, he gives a nod and we go back to work with the two.
