Lorrie-
"There, you're all signed in Nik. Benny'll pick you up at seven. I'll see you when you get home." I smile to Nikki and grab my crutches from the wall, "Have fun." I head out the door and someone bumps into me. I it weren't from these blasted crutches and my broken foot I wouldn't have completely lost my balance.
"Sorry." A familiar voice apologizes. Someone catches me and pulls me upright.
"It's okay." I answer continuing on my way to Benny.
"Lorrie, I didn't know you had a sibling." He calls after me.
"That goes double for me," I answer turning to face Connor. "If you don't mind, I have to go. I have a student waiting for tutoring." I turn to continue my walk to the door.
"Can I walk you to the car?" He offers.
"Thanks, but no thanks." I flash him a smile. "Just because I'm a girl and I'm on crutches doesn't make me dependent on a man." I tell him before continuing out to the car.
