Why is life so confusing? And how do two new students to our school know each other? Maybe since they're both new they both transferred from the same school? For some reason that's unknown to me. We're the last group to start working and the last group to actually form too. I just don't want to be the last group still working.
"Lorrie, how long do you think the project will take?" I ask her.
"I'm not sure Connor, probably till the end of the class, but it should be easy if we take our time." She answers with a friendly smile.
"Lorrie can you help me with this?" Johnny asks from the other side of the room. He sits with a textbook on his table.
"Mr. Williams, save your questions on other subjects for after all the other groups have finished with their projects." Mrs. Lawrence says.
How could Johnny treat Lorrie like that? He has a heart right? She adjusts her foot and kicks my leg under the table with her cast. It startles me, but doesn't hurt.
"Sorry," She apologizes, "I can't seem to get used to the cast." She says before muttering, "First no dancing, then no competitions, now I can't even sit in a classroom without hitting someone with it."
