Connor-
I stand and watch her head out to a car and climb into the passenger seat. And watch the car drive away.
"Sir, if you'll just sign here you're free to leave." The woman at the table says.I quickly scribble down my name down just as Jacob walks up with a girl around his age as well as a few of his friends that he recognized.
"Connor, this is Nikki." Jacob says. "Nikki, this is my older brother Connor."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Nikki." I tell her with a nod of my head as I turn to leave.
"Connor's a junior at Roxford High." Jacob continues talking to Nikki, my brother loves to talk. I close my eyes and shake my head.
"I have a brother and sister at Roxford." Nikki says not looking at me but steadying her gaze past his shoulder, almost as if she's looking for someone. "They're juniors."
"Really, who are they, I may know them." I ask suddenly interested, maybe that's who Lorrie was with.
"Lorrie and Benny Scott." Nikki answers. I do a double take. Except for the hair, she looks exactly like them. Lorrie has her light caramel brown hair, and Benny has his dark shaggy brown hair, but Nikki has this dark midnight black hair. How can three kids in the same family have three different colors of hair, pretty sure none of them color their hair. Nikki still looks young an innocent. Benny and Lorrie look like they could be related, but Nikki looks nothing like them. Strange.
